Broadcaster Kim Dae-ho reminisces about his ex-girlfriend.
The MBC entertainment program ‘Save Me! Homes’ (hereafter ‘Homes’) airing on the 21st at 10 PM features comedian Kim Min-kyung embarking on a summer field trip to Daegu.
This episode is set as a ‘Local Field Trip - Daegu Edition’ where they go on a nationwide field trip with local residents. Previously, ‘Homes’ has garnered attention by visiting very special local field trips with locals from various cities. This time, Daegu's own, comedian Kim Min-kyung, will go on a local field trip with Kim Sook.
Kim Min-kyung heads to the center of Daegu, Suseong-gu, with Kim Sook and Kim Sook's close friends (Daegu friends). When Kim Sook struggles with the intense heat, Kim Min-kyung says, "The weather in Daegu is relatively cool today." He continues, "In Daegu, not only does water come out on the roads to cool down the heat, but there is also a cooling fog system installed at bus stops."
Upon arriving at Beomeo Intersection in Daegu, Kim Min-kyung introduces it as "the largest intersection in South Korea. It has 10 lanes in both directions and 13 lanes in both directions. The Daegu Daechang Apartment is located here." When the tall apartment building appears on screen, Kim Dae-ho confesses, "My ex-girlfriend lived here. I never got to go inside. I was very curious."
The ‘Daegu friends’ mention that the area from Beomeo Intersection to Suseong-gu Office Station is all an academy district, referring to the educational hub as ‘Beom 4 Man 3’. They add that it is an abbreviation for Beomeo 4-dong and Manchon 3-dong. They also introduce it as a hotbed of private education in Daegu, comparable to Daechi-dong in Seoul, drawing attention.
Riding the high-speed elevator into the apartment, they are speechless at the extraordinary interior. With luxury dishes and bags as a given, those who discover the so-called ‘Jenny bed’ in the master bedroom are in awe, discussing its price excitedly.
From the spacious living room, they can see the beautiful apartment park and the academy district of Beomeo Intersection. The Daegu friends explain, "During exam periods, the neighborhood is quiet. Renovations in the apartments are absolutely prohibited during exam periods," showcasing the intense academic enthusiasm in Daegu.
They then head to Beomeo 4-dong, where the academy district is densely packed. Stopping in front of a high school, Kim Min-kyung introduces it as "the prestigious high school in Daegu that sends the most students to medical schools nationwide in 2025." He adds, "People move here for this high school." Yang Se-chan surprises everyone by saying, "Actor Jang Dong-yoon is an alumnus of this high school."
The ‘Daegu native’ Kim Min-kyung's local field trip showcasing the red flavor of Daegu will be revealed on MBC’s ‘Save Me! Homes’ on the 21st at 10 PM.
