A traditional Korean medicine doctor who overcame colon cancer reveals his secrets.
In the Channel A entertainment program 'The Birth of Body God' airing on the 19th at 8:10 PM, Han Jin-woo, a traditional Korean medicine doctor who overcame stage 3 colon cancer, will present the 'Intestinal Copy Project' for challengers.
In this episode, the story of a challenger in their 60s, who has received two cancer diagnoses and was declared cancer-free but still suffers from intestinal troubles and various colon diseases due to poor eating habits, will be revealed. The challenger confesses, "I am worried about my eating habits, as I usually enjoy spicy food and alcohol," and admits that polyps and even adenomas have been found every time they undergo a colonoscopy, indicating a red flag for their colon health.
In particular, adenomas are often referred to as a pre-stage of colon cancer, and are sometimes called the 'seeds of colon cancer.' The challenger expresses a heartfelt wish, saying, "After two cancer diagnoses, I lost weight and became very depressed," and adds, "I don't want to get cancer again." However, upon reviewing the challenger's daily videos, it is revealed that the challenger has hardly eaten vegetables since their stomach cancer surgery and has been enjoying spicy foods, adding a twist to the story.
In response, Han Jin-woo emphasizes, "The challenger's eating habits are exactly the same as mine before I was diagnosed with colon cancer," and warns, "It is dangerous if you don't change your eating habits immediately." He then proposes the 'Intestinal Copy Project,' which involves following the eating habits he practiced during his cancer recovery.
Han Jin-woo mentions 'siraegi' (dried radish greens), which is rich in dietary fiber and helps improve digestion and intestinal health, as a key ingredient for the 'Intestinal Copy Project.' He shares his experience of recovering with siraegi soup during his cancer treatment and suggests 'Siraegi Tofu Miso Porridge' as a solution. MC Yoo Min-sang, who tasted Han Jin-woo's 'Siraegi Tofu Miso Porridge,' reportedly praised it, saying, "I didn't expect much from siraegi porridge, but it tastes good and the recipe is simple, making it easy to cook at home."
It remains to be seen whether the challenger, who is facing a crisis with colon cancer, can show a transformed appearance through the 3-week project. 'The Birth of Body God' airs every Tuesday at 8:10 PM on Channel A.
