The group EPEX has confirmed a solo concert in China.
EPEX (Wish, Keum Dong-hyun, Mu, Amin, Baek Seung, Aiden, Ye-wang, Jeff) will hold their 2025 solo concert '青春匮乏 in 福州' (Youth Deficiency in Fuzhou) at the MAAQUU X CH8 livehouse in Fuzhou, China on May 31.
This solo concert will be EPEX's first local performance in China. EPEX, a K-POP idol group with all members being South Korean, has confirmed their first solo concert in China after 9 years since the Korean Wave ban in 2016. Previously, idol groups or hip-hop groups of other nationalities have held concerts in China, but EPEX has emerged as the first all-Korean idol group to cross the continent and become a new leader in the K-POP wave in China.
In fact, EPEX has been making efforts to communicate with Chinese fans in various ways since their debut. They have collaborated with Chinese magazines for photo shoots and interviews, and in January of this year, they held fan signing events in Shanghai and Qingdao, gaining significant attention. Now, they are reaping another success with their solo concert in China.
EPEX has been proving their global influence by continuing the 'Youth Deficiency' concert tour across Asia, starting in Seoul last December. In May, they will showcase new repertoires of 'Youth Deficiency' in Macau on the 3rd, Taipei on the 24th, and Fuzhou on the 31st.
Last year, EPEX launched the 'Youth' trilogy regular album series, successfully releasing two regular albums: 'Sohwa (韶華) Volume 1: Youth Era' and 'Sohwa (韶華) Volume 2: Youth Deficiency'. Through this 'Youth Deficiency' tour, they are receiving positive feedback from fans worldwide with well-made stages featuring new songs like 'To Youth' and 'UNIVERSE', along with various arrangements and performances.
The '青春匮乏 in 福州' concert, which will expand EPEX's unique youth sentiment, is set to take place on May 31 at 7:30 PM (CST).
Meanwhile, EPEX is currently discussing the possibility of holding solo concerts in other regions of China, and on May 6 at 6 PM, they will release a collaboration single 'so nice' with American retro synth-pop artist joan, drawing attention to EPEX's limitless global activities ahead.
