Park Seo-jin revealed that he was scammed out of all his savings during his unknown days.
On the afternoon of the 9th, during the broadcast of KBS2's 'Salim Nam Season 2' (hereafter 'Salim Nam'), Park Seo-jin recalled his painful past.
In the episode, Seo-jin went to the rooftop room where he used to live to regain his initial motivation. He reminisced, "When I came to Seoul at 20, there was no work and nothing at all. It was a shared rooftop, right? I could hear people talking and smoking. The walls were that thin..." reflecting on his sorrowful past.
He added, "As a person gradually falls to the bottom, they get scammed, and even flies start to swarm around you," mentioning again the verbal abuse he received from a senior singer in the past.
Seo-jin also referred to the scammer who approached him through a broadcast, saying, "Originally, they asked for 10 million won, but I ended up giving them 1.5 million won... When a person is pushed to the edge, they end up giving money even knowing it's a scam." He continued, "They said if I wanted to appear on the show, I had to give them money. They asked for 10 million won, but all I had was 1.5 million won, and I asked if that amount could work. But after taking that money, they disappeared."
Hearing this, Kim Won-hee looked at him sympathetically, saying, "It's tough when hardships pile up."
Seo-jin reflected, "They said they would fix me as an unknown singer and make me an MC... I was really foolish," expressing his regret. When Eun Ji-won asked, "How did you endure after losing all your savings?" Seo-jin replied, "I just learned to live according to the situation."
'Salim Nam' airs every Saturday at 9:15 PM.
