Actor Yoon Kyung-ho has revealed his family history for the first time.
On the 6th, Yoon Kyung-ho appeared as a guest on the tvN entertainment program 'You Quiz on the Block' (hereafter 'You Quiz').
On this day, Yoon Kyung-ho named his mother as his number one fan who listens to his stories well. He reflected, "My mother listens to everything in a fun way, and talking to her has given me a lot of confidence in my expressiveness."
He continued, "I used to go to the movies a lot with my aunts, and I wanted to share those stories with my mom. I would start talking as soon as I took off my shoes. Looking back now, those were just ordinary stories, but she listened so enthusiastically and said, 'Kyung-ho, how can you be so expressive?'" revealing his memories with his mother.
Yoon Kyung-ho also said, "I have never properly talked about it," and after a moment of contemplation, he added, "My mom relied on me a lot, and we were like friends. Looking back, I was her only friend. As I entered my teenage years and started hanging out with other friends, at some point, my mom became a bit annoying."
He continued, "My mom once said, 'I think I have entered my teenage years. I want to talk more.' It turns out she was suffering from severe depression. She couldn't bear it and ultimately ended her life," evoking a sense of sadness.
Yoon Kyung-ho shared, "My maternal grandmother told me, 'If you say your mom passed away like that, people might talk bad about you. Just say she died in an accident.' So I have never been able to talk about how my mom passed away. Whenever something good happens, the person I think of the most is my mom. Even now, I feel happy and proud of my success as an actor, but there is a sense of emptiness because there is no one to share this with."
