The midlife redemption romance 'Polaroid' featuring Park Won-sang and Lee Mi-do is coming.
The MBN special one-act play 'Polaroid' (written by Kim Jin-hwan, directed by Son Byeong-jo) will air on the night of the 22nd at 12 AM. It is an emotional melodrama that tells the story of a taxi driver Deok-jung (Park Won-sang), who has been given a terminal diagnosis, and a karaoke assistant Jeong-sook (Lee Mi-do), who is treated as a has-been. The two, who become intertwined by an old vending machine, will embrace each other's wounds and depict the process of creating a moment that will remain forever amidst the fleeting passage of time in a deep and serene manner.
Park Won-sang, who plays Deok-jung, is a representative talented actor of South Korea, showcasing a wide acting spectrum through films like 'Miracle in Cell No. 7' and dramas like 'Bad Family'. In this work, he is expected to portray the emotions of a character searching for the meaning of life in the face of death in a calm yet delicate manner.
Lee Mi-do, who plays Jeong-sook, has also shown impressive performances in various works such as the drama 'I Was Fooled' and the film 'Our Greatest Moments', establishing her unique presence as an actress. In the one-act play 'Polaroid', she will portray a character who appears rough but has a tender heart, hinting at another transformation in her acting.
'Polaroid' is a winning piece from the Lotte Scenario Contest and has received official recognition for its artistic value with support from the Korea Creative Content Agency.
