Broadcaster Go Myung-hwan confessed to his past trauma from a traffic accident.
Go Myung-hwan appeared as a bestselling author on the 10th anniversary special of tvN STORY’s ‘Accidentally an Adult’ aired on the 5th.
On that day, he revealed that he experienced about five years of obscurity after his debut in the entertainment industry, and just as he was starting to make a name for himself as a comedian and actor, he was involved in a traffic accident. Due to a tight schedule, he was in a serious accident caused by his manager's speeding.
Go Myung-hwan explained the urgent situation at that time, saying, “I was told by the doctor, ‘Please leave a will.’ I was told, ‘You could die in one second.’”
He continued, “Because of that accident, no matter how much money I earn, I can’t ride in the car driven by my manager, so I have to drive for ten hours myself,” confessing his trauma from the accident.
After overcoming his health challenges, Go Myung-hwan began his career as a writer, leaving behind his activities in the entertainment industry. He has also become a bestselling author and proudly mentioned that he was selected for the ‘2024 Author of the Year Award’ alongside writer Han Kang last year.
He is currently venturing into business and is giving lectures through various platforms.
Go Myung-hwan debuted in 1994 through the KBS College Comedy Contest and later re-debuted as a comedian in MBC's 8th public recruitment in 1997.
