Singer Kim Jang-hoon proves his new heyday as the protagonist of memes for the MZ generation.

On the 6th, the MBC entertainment program ‘Radio Star’ will feature a special episode titled ‘The Oppa is Coming Back’ with guests Kim Jang-hoon, Bobby Kim, Jo Sung-mo, and Son Ho-young.

Kim Jang-hoon recently shared his current status and mentioned that he has gained popularity among the MZ generation, openly revealing his age. “These days, the MZ generation likes me,” he said with a bright smile, adding, “I realized I have become unexpectedly popular as my memes are overflowing on YouTube.”

In fact, a collection of videos showcasing his unique singing style is spreading online as memes. However, he humorously expressed that the song he wants to promote, ‘Kkokkio,’ hasn’t become a meme, saying, “I hope that song gets more popular,” and eventually performed it on stage, causing laughter in the studio.

Kim Jang-hoon confessed, “I’ve cut off everything that interferes with my singing,” stating, “I no longer do swearing, smoking, or drinking,” and created laughter with MC Kim Gu-ra through a playful banter that oscillated between mockery and respect.

He also revealed the story of holding concerts on Dokdo for the past 20 years as a ‘Dokdo Guardian.’ Regarding his nickname ‘Dokdo Old Man,’ he smiled and said, “I don’t dislike it,” and surprised everyone by confessing, “I’ve even moved my residence to Dokdo.”

Additionally, after watching Jannabi’s Choi Jeong-hoon perform, he felt competitive and said, “I even timed it,” challenging himself to an impromptu guitar performance, expressing his desire to feel free on stage.

Kim Jang-hoon’s new side, filled with sincerity and laughter, can be seen on ‘Radio Star’ airing on Wednesday, the 6th, at 10:30 PM.
