In 'The Tyrant's Chef', Im Yoon-a has transformed into a royal chef commanding the Suragan.
The new tvN weekend drama 'The Tyrant's Chef' (directed by Jang Tae-yu, written by fGRD, planned by Studio Dragon, produced by Film Greeda and Jung Universe) will premiere on August 23, and has released a video showcasing the royal chef Yeon Ji-young (played by Im Yoon-a) commanding the Suragan, piquing curiosity.
The released video features Yeon Ji-young in a blue royal chef outfit, rather than a white chef's uniform, with a confident smile that catches the eye. After unexpectedly falling back in time, the head chef of a three-star restaurant, Yeon Ji-young, is appointed as the royal chef responsible for the king's meals, taking charge of the Suragan.
As royal chef Yeon Ji-young watches, the attendants are busy preparing ingredients and cooking according to her instructions. It raises curiosity about what extraordinary royal dishes the 21st-century royal chef Yeon Ji-young will present in the unfamiliar Suragan.
Notably, the person tasting the Suragan prepared by Yeon Ji-young is none other than King Lee Heon (played by Lee Chae-min), who has a sensitive palate capable of detecting subtle differences in taste, hinting at a more intense evaluation than ever before. Having risen to the top through sheer will and determination in the culinary world, the survival of Yeon Ji-young's cooking skills amidst fierce palace intrigue is highly anticipated.
In 'The Tyrant's Chef', viewers will meet the royal chef Im Yoon-a, a winner of a cooking competition, in a survival fantasy romantic comedy drama where a chef time slips to the past and encounters the worst tyrant and a king with absolute taste. It will premiere on August 23 at 9:10 PM on tvN.
