Director Yoo Je-won expressed satisfaction with the casting of actor Kim Min-kyu in 'First, Love.'
On the afternoon of the 30th, an online production presentation for tvN's new Monday-Tuesday drama 'First, Love' took place. Attending the event were director Yoo Je-won, along with actors Yim Jung-ah, Park Hae-joon, Choi Yoon-ji, and Kim Min-kyu.
'First, Love' tells the story of a single mother and her medical student daughter who unexpectedly enter a new chapter in life, choosing to live for today's happiness rather than tomorrow's, encountering a love that is not an end but a beginning.
In 'First, Love,' Kim Min-kyu plays the role of Ryu Bo-hyun, a young farmer more beautiful than flowers and the son of Ryu Jung-seok.
Describing the character Ryu Bo-hyun, Kim Min-kyu said, "He is a solid young man with a charming clumsiness amidst his perfection," adding, "I really wanted to be part of this project, so while preparing for the audition, I watched the director's previous works to understand what style he likes and prepared diligently."
Director Yoo Je-won remarked, "I tried not to be overwhelmed by his handsome appearance during the audition," and praised Kim Min-kyu, saying, "Usually, when someone is that good-looking, their acting skills might be a bit lacking, but his acting skills were also great," expressing satisfaction with the casting.
'First, Love' will premiere on the 4th at 8:50 PM on tvN.
