A 'Mokdong Kid' student facing 'learning burnout' due to excessive advanced studies appears. MC Jeon Hyun-moo, also from Mokdong and a 'peer', strongly empathizes with this situation.

In the Channel A entertainment program 'Teachers 2', airing on the 27th at 7:50 PM, a first-year high school student from Mokdong, who is struggling with poor grades after entering high school and clashing with his mother, will be featured.

The student, who completed a gifted program and was a perfect model student with excellent extracurricular activities, was shocked by the grades he received on his first high school exam, which were unlike anything he had ever seen before. He scored only 10 out of 40 on the open-ended questions in English, failing to even make half.

The student's mother scolded him about his grades, saying, "The difference between middle school and high school studies is significant. Didn't I tell you to be thorough in English?" Eventually, the son exploded with frustration, saying, "It would be better to focus on assignments at this time." The conversation ended with both mother and son feeling hurt.

The conflict between the mother and son deepened over the issue of private tutoring. The mother had stopped sending her son to tutoring for two years after he said he would study on his own. However, due to his poor grades, she brought up the topic of tutoring again. The student then revealed, "When I was in middle school, my mom directly told me to take advanced classes, and everything started to go wrong from that point. I lost interest in math, which I used to enjoy," expressing the pressure he felt due to the educational fervor in their district.

The student confessed, "I took advanced calculus in 8th grade, but I was always the 'last in the advanced class.' My mom had no intention of stopping the advanced studies," admitting that he had reached academic burnout due to excessive advanced studies. He had taken advanced classes in calculus, geometry, statistics, and algebra multiple times but had lost all interest in math.

Seeing this, 'Mokdong Kid' Jeon Hyun-moo remarked, "Nothing has changed much since I attended. We had four people gather for tutoring. Other friends went to science high schools, but my math skills were severely lacking. So I pretended to understand the lessons. There were expectations from my mom..." empathizing with the pressure the student felt.

The student's mother expressed surprise at her son's true feelings, saying, "(He) has had a good ability to absorb knowledge since he was young. Senior mothers said that taking advanced high school math would allow for more flexibility in other subjects, and I thought my son would be fine since he did well without complaints in advanced studies."

As the issues became apparent, Jo Jung-sik stated, "I understand the stress of advanced studies, but I cannot empathize with the claim that the grades are due to the district's educational environment," predicting the real cause of the problems the student was facing.

The true issues faced by the 'Mokdong Kid' student, who has crumbled under the pressure of grades, and the solutions to overcome them can be found in the Channel A program 'Please Help with Grades: Teachers 2', airing on Sunday, the 27th at 7:50 PM.
