Actress Yeo Jeong-a spoke out about concerns regarding overlapping appearances of "Shopping for Eyes" and her upcoming project "For the First Love," which airs on the same day.
On the afternoon of the 21st, a press conference for ENA's new Monday-Tuesday drama "Shopping for Eyes" was held at Stanford Hotel Korea in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. Attendees included Yeo Jeong-a, Won Jin-a, Choi Young-jun, Dex, and director Oh Gi-hwan.
"Shopping for Eyes" is an action thriller depicting the desperate survival and revenge of children who were abandoned by their adoptive parents and barely survived on the brink of death.
Yeo Jeong-a plays Kim Se-hee, the head of an illegal adoption organization and the representative of the SH Medical Foundation in the drama. Although she is a beloved celebrity doctor, she harbors a twisted belief that only superior and useful genes should survive, and she runs a "shopping for eyes" business targeting the upper class.
Yeo Jeong-a will showcase a romance with Park Hae-jun in the tvN drama "For the First Love," which premieres on August 4. Although they are completely different works, she is presenting them on the same day, raising concerns about the pressure of overlapping appearances.
Yeo Jeong-a stated, "Filming for 'Shopping for Eyes' was completed last year. 'For the First Love' is still in production. Actors have no authority over scheduling, so we have to accept it. I think it's fortunate that they are completely different genres and characters. I have affection for both works, so I hope you will love them," urging interest.
"Shopping for Eyes" airs every Monday and Tuesday at 10 PM on ENA. VOD services are available on the OTT platform Tving.
