On the afternoon of the 19th, KBS2's 'Salim Nam Season 2' (hereafter 'Salim Nam') featured Park Seo-jin and Park Young-kyu as the main cast.
On this episode, the first Salim Nam, Park Seo-jin and his sister Park Hyo-jung, went on a countryside vacation. It turned out that Hyo-jung had prepared it for Seo-jin's healing.
When Hyo-jung said, "Look around. It's organic and eco-friendly," Seo-jin replied, "I was a fool to trust you. Why are you making me work on my day off?" and lay down on the floor. At that moment, Lee Myung-hwa (Lalal) appeared, and Seo-jin expressed, "I'm a real fan of Lee Myung-hwa. I have merchandise and a framed picture. I think her fiery personality is great. Everything about her is wonderful."
When Lee Myung-hwa suggested changing into comfortable clothes, the siblings quickly changed into floral pants and tops. Seo-jin asked, "Can you do some makeup for her (Hyo-jung)? She has a guy she wants to impress. They're going to get married."
Seo-jin continued to talk about Hae-nam, who is still in contact with Hyo-jung, saying, "My husband is from Haenam. We're going to have kids. We met at the beach while gathering abalone!"
After Lee Myung-hwa prepared a wig and sunglasses to perfectly style Hyo-jung, Seo-jin said, "Should I call him? To your husband," and video-called Hae-nam.
Lee Myung-hwa demonstrated, "Oh, how wonderful~ I made your wife look beautifully glamorous! 'Honey, give me a kiss!' Just do it like this," which made the studio burst into laughter. Eventually, Hyo-jung mimicked Lee Myung-hwa's tone and cutely said, "Honey, give me a kiss."
Seeing this, Hae-nam exclaimed, "You're beautiful~ You're beautiful!" while dripping with affection, and Lee Myung-hwa humorously cut off the call, saying, "You're the worst!"
Afterward, the siblings cleaned up all the cow dung under Lee Myung-hwa's orders. The hard-working siblings enjoyed a hearty meal of muksabal, boiled pork, jeon, and bibimbap.
Lee Myung-hwa praised Seo-jin, saying, "Seeing it in person, I was shocked by how you splash water and play the drum on stage. It was so cool that we filmed today because of Seo-jin!" Afterward, Lee Myung-hwa and Seo-jin performed a joint stage.
The second Salim Nam featured Park Young-kyu and his wife. Park Young-kyu's wife was stressed after seeing malicious comments on the video from the last broadcast. Comments like "Park Young-kyu looks young, so the age difference doesn't seem that big," and "It looks like a 2-5 year age difference, not 25 years" made the panel express their displeasure, saying, "Why do people write such comments?" and "What does that even mean?"
Seeing his wife upset over the age-related comments, Park Young-kyu excitedly said, "Where do you see yourself as 68? You look classic for your age. You're elegant, substantial, and mature, like a well-aged kimchi!" which made everyone laugh. He then mistakenly added, "And from now on, you can do your beauty treatments as much as you want! I'll support you. Let's start with those laugh lines!"
His wife responded angrily, "Are you saying I have laugh lines now?"
That evening, Park Young-kyu cleared his bowels for a colonoscopy scheduled for the next day. Lying on the bed, he worried, "Honey, if I'm not here anymore... can you live well on your own? How will you and our daughter live?" He added, "Honey, there's a safe, right? All the bank account numbers and various documents are in there."
Watching the VCR, Park Seo-jin asked, "Is it because of the colonoscopy?" and Baek Ji-young understood, saying, "You're worried about the health check results."
The next day, the couple underwent a national health check together. Park Young-kyu, at 73, was worried to learn that he had a polyp removed during his first colonoscopy.
After completing all the tests, they headed to the consultation room to hear the results. The doctor, looking seriously at Park Young-kyu, said, "The purpose of health checks is to treat issues before they develop into cancer. It seems fortunate that you had this test. There are some issues, though."
He continued, "There's a 6mm colon polyp, and if it had been left for another 2-3 years, it could have progressed to colon cancer," shocking Park Young-kyu and his wife, as well as all the studio panelists. Eun Ji-won exclaimed, "But why did you suddenly decide to get tested? Oh, did our production team suggest it? Thank goodness!"
