In ‘Immortal Songs’, Lee Chan-won promises to gift a song to ‘Trot trainee’ Lee Ji-hoon.

The KBS2 show ‘Immortal Songs’ (directed by Park Hyung-geun, Kim Hyung-seok, and Choi Seung-beom) will air the second part of the ‘Artist Late Hyun-cheol & Song Dae-kwan Special’ on the 19th.

Lee Ji-hoon expresses his gratitude for the opportunity to expand his activities into musical casting through his appearance on ‘Immortal Songs’. He shares, “After the ‘Immortal Way Special’, I was cast in the ‘Dream High’ musical,” revealing his recent updates. MC Kim Jun-hyun then asks, “Didn’t you also get cast in the ‘Notre Dame de Paris’ musical after your performance on ‘Immortal’?” to which Lee Ji-hoon replies, “Yes. I feel like something special will happen again this time,” expressing his excitement.

In response, MC Lee Chan-won adds, “You’re still a Trot trainee, but isn’t today’s broadcast the official start of your debut?” Lee Ji-hoon jokes, “If you say that, I feel like I might receive a good song.”

Lee Chan-won then immediately responds, “Then I’ll give you a song,” stirring excitement in the studio. Kim Jun-hyun joins in, saying, “If you officially debut, I’ll lend you a sparkling outfit from the KBS costume department.” Lee Ji-hoon is said to be moved, stating, “It’s truly ‘Immortal Songs’ that gives dreams and hope.”

As a newcomer to Trot, Lee Ji-hoon conveys his sincerity about the stage. He confesses, “I’ve been thinking about what can be loved for a long time while being active, and there’s no genre that can be loved for a long time like Trot,” adding, “I wanted to show my daughter the image of a dad who continues to take on new challenges.”

He also reportedly brings laughter with his unexpected competitiveness as a ‘Trot newcomer’. When asked who he least wants to compete against, Lee Ji-hoon responds, “I want to avoid all of them,” but then playfully challenges Hwang Min-ho, asking, “Are you playing the janggu today?” heating up the atmosphere. Attention is focused on whether Lee Ji-hoon, who has expanded his territory from ballad prince to musical prince, can achieve his Trot debut through this ‘Immortal Songs’.

In the second part of the broadcast, a splendid stage featuring the classic songs of Hyun-cheol and Song Dae-kwan, transcending genres and generations, is set to unfold. Five Trot juniors will reinterpret the classic songs in their own colors. Lee Ji-hoon, Hwanhee, Enok, Hwang Min-ho, and Choi Soo-ho will engage in a fierce battle for the last remaining glorious final victory spot.

‘Immortal Songs’ airs every Saturday at 6:05 PM.
