Joy from the group Red Velvet showed her affectionate sisterly love.
In the episode of MBC's 'I Live Alone' aired on the 18th, Joy was seen visiting her sister's newlywed home.
On that day, Joy headed to Ansan, all dressed up. The place Joy arrived at was her sister's newlywed home. Joy expressed her excitement about visiting for the first time since her sister moved, saying, "Isn't it beautiful that they are a newlywed couple?"
As Joy toured her sister's new home, she laughed, saying, "I have too much stake in this." She continued, "Almost all the furniture is mine. The bed, vanity, and wardrobe were in my room when I was living in the dorm. The TV and sofa were in my apartment. The air purifier, speaker, and mirror were also taken by my sister."
Joy explained, "I wanted to buy them other things, but the couple refused everything. So I asked if they needed anything from my furniture, and they took everything they could use."
Meanwhile, Joy went for a walk with her sister and their dog. Her sister shed tears, expressing gratitude to Joy for alleviating her worries about the wedding gifts. Joy also became teary-eyed.
In an interview, Joy revealed, "Since I was in the second grade of elementary school, I took my siblings to the bathhouse. I did all the laundry and dishes instead of my mom, and during summer vacation, I set up a table for them to study. I felt a lot of pressure to guide them to grow up properly. So when I see my siblings, they feel like my daughters."
She continued, "Our family wasn't very wealthy. So the three sisters grew up tightly bonded. Fortunately, I started earning money earlier than my friends, and I didn't want them to feel powerless when they had no money."
She added, "On the one hand, I think it's important for them to grow with their own will and ability, so I pondered how much I should help. I offered to buy them large appliances, but my sister refused everything. She thanked me for helping ease her worries about the wedding gifts by taking my things. I was just giving away things I no longer used, but she said it was enough, and I was grateful. That's why I also got emotional."
