Netflix's original series 'Squid Game' Season 3 has topped the charts in 93 countries.

According to Flix Patrol, a global OTT ranking site, 'Squid Game Season 3' ranked first in the Netflix TV show category worldwide. It reached the top spot in 93 countries, including South Korea, the United States, Germany, Mexico, Malaysia, Thailand, and Sweden.

Released on the 27th, 'Squid Game' Season 3 depicts Gi-hun, who loses his best friend in a game he re-enters with his own motives, the Frontman who hides his identity while infiltrating the game, and the final fates of the participants who survive in the brutal game.

Immediately after its release, reactions from foreign media were mixed.

Time magazine praised, “Netflix's decision to delay the conclusion of Season 2 without much meaning was a significant blow. Fortunately, director Hwang Dong-hyuk has regained control of the work, showcasing its original brutal charm and delivering a powerful punch in the final season.”

On the other hand, The Guardian criticized, “If Season 2 and Season 3 had been combined, it would have been a much stronger season,” adding, “The brutality has intensified, the violence continues like constant torture, and the satire felt in the early seasons has gradually disappeared.”

Meanwhile, 'Squid Game' Seasons 1 and 2 hold the first and second positions among Netflix's all-time non-English series. Seasons 1 and 2 combined have recorded approximately 600 million views (the total viewing time divided by the total runtime of the work).
