‘Cheongdam International High School 2’ has released individual posters capturing the strong presence of its actors.
The new drama ‘Cheongdam International High School 2’ (written by Kwak Young-im, directed by Lim Dae-woong and Park Hyung-won), set to premiere on July 3, is a high-teen psychological thriller that combines a power game at the elite Cheongdam International High School with a youth romance.
The eight individual posters released on the 19th feature the overwhelming presence of Lee Eun-sam (played by Kim Hye-in), Kim Ye-rim (played by Baek Je-na), Kim Min-kyu (played by Cha Jin-wook), Lee Jong-hyuk (played by Seo Do-eon), Park Si-woo (played by Min Yul-hee), Jang Deok-soo (played by Park Woo-jin), Jang Seong-yoon (played by Kim Hae-in), and Won Kyu-bin (played by Lee Sa-rang).
The faces illuminated by a beam of light in the deep darkness hint at each character's desires and heighten the tension. This season will feature characters with different motives, such as Kim Hye-in, who is embroiled in a murder accusation, Baek Je-na, who is shaken by an unstable succession structure, and Cha Jin-wook, who transfers to Cheongukgo with secrets, leading to a more complex and intricate storyline.
In particular, the copy phrases inserted for each character vividly capture their inner narratives, enhancing immersion. “Is being poor a crime? No, I’ll make being rich a crime too” reflects Hye-in’s strong determination, while “I will never let anything be taken from me” reveals the anxious psychology of the school’s power players.
Additionally, phrases like “Don’t make me overturn this game because of you,” “You and I are not in the same league, right?” and “Never wake up. At that time, I might really kill you” raise expectations for the spectacular story of season 2.
This season not only brings back characters who left a deep impression in season 1 but also introduces new characters like Cha Jin-wook and Lee Sa-rang, promising an even more expanded narrative.
‘Cheongdam International High School 2’, which captivates attention even with its posters, amplifies curiosity about the diverse episodes to come and raises expectations for the stories that will unfold around Cheongukgo.
Meanwhile, ‘Cheongdam International High School 2’ will be released on Netflix, Wavve, and Tving at 5 PM on July 3, and will also air on the comprehensive channel MBN at 00:10 AM on July 5.
Internationally, it will be available on global streaming platforms and channels in about 190 countries, including Asia's largest OTT platform Viu, the global Asian content-specialized platform Rakuten Viki, Japan's ABEMA TV, and Taiwan's top paid subscription platform friDay Video.
