Lim Won-hee went on a blind date with a beautiful woman arranged by the production team of ‘My Ugly Duckling’.

In the episode aired on the afternoon of the 15th, SBS entertainment program ‘My Ugly Duckling’ (hereinafter ‘My Ugly Duckling’) featured Lim Won-hee, Lee Dong-gun, and Lee Hong-ki in succession.

On this day, Lim Won-hee appeared as the first ‘ugly duckling’. He revealed, “Since everyone is going, I decided to go on a blind date. I hinted to the ‘My Ugly Duckling’ production team, and it turns out the other person is a college friend of the PD,” indicating that he sought help from the production team.

He added, “I guess they are in the broadcasting industry. They said they are involved in drama production,” and mentioned that the person matched his ideal type of being highly educated. At that moment, he received a call from his mother.

His mother said, “Seok-yong has good news. I told Won-hee to have a comfortable blind date. From a mother’s perspective, it seems like he hasn’t found the right match, but I don’t think he has high standards. Our Won-hee doesn’t have high standards,” showing her concern for her son. She continued, “When I heard about Seok-yong, I was honestly envious. Even if he doesn’t listen to his mom, he listens to his friends. Please take good care of our Won-hee,” she added.

His mother expressed her feelings for her son, saying, “The news of Lee Sang-min’s marriage was the most shocking. It was so sudden. I hope he lives well. Every mother feels that way. When my son turns around, it feels really strange to see his back. When he walks away alone, it really breaks my heart,” which moved Won-hee.

On the day of the blind date, Lim Won-hee met the beautiful woman. He was unable to maintain eye contact and nervously asked, “What do you say when you hear I’m meeting Lim Won-hee?” The other person replied, “I’ve heard a lot that you seem like a really nice person. You have a kind and pure image.”

When Lim Won-hee asked, “Do you like kind and pure men?” the woman replied, “Of course,” which surprised him.

Lim Won-hee then said, “I thought about where I want to go. I’m the ambassador for Gangneung. Come to our wine shop, all of you!” flirting, to which the woman responded, “I like wine.” However, she was puzzled by Lim Won-hee’s lack of knowledge about wine types.

Lim Won-hee jokingly said, “Hye-jin, you’ve violated the Labor Standards Act... you’ve been spreading beauty 24 hours a day. I’m sorry. Dating me is like a volunteer activity,” making a shy comment.

When the blind date woman mentioned feeling some pressure about marriage, Lim Won-hee said it felt bittersweet to see a complete family. When the woman said she was cool enough, Lim Won-hee expressed his interest, saying, “The person I like the most is someone who boosts my self-esteem. I want to keep talking.”

Later, the two made a wish and Lim Won-hee suggested, “If you have time this coming Saturday, let’s go see a performance together,” asking for a follow-up. The woman responded, “If you invite me, I’ll go,” making Lim Won-hee excited.

After the VCR ended, Seo Jang-hoon reported, “After the blind date, Hye-jin contacted first and they went for a second drink,” sharing news about Lim Won-hee.

As the second ‘ugly duckling’, Lee Dong-gun appeared preparing for a cooking competition with his mother. Lee Dong-gun said, “I think my mother is the best cook in the world. So I wanted to recommend a cooking competition,” explaining the reason for participating in the competition.

The two began practicing, saying they would make loach pizza and passion fruit highball. Despite needing to finish all the dishes in an hour, 50 minutes had already passed before they made the highball, prompting Lee Dong-gun to remind himself to pay more attention to time.

Finally, on the day of the competition, Lee Dong-gun and his mother looked visibly nervous. While other teams chose black pork, only Lee Dong-gun’s team prepared loach, expecting to score points for originality.

As the time for the results announcement approached, the two could not hide their tension. Fortunately, they won the gold medal, with the judges commenting, “You made pizza with loach,” and “The highball is very delicious.”

The third ‘ugly duckling’ was Lee Hong-ki, who visited the hospital. Lee Hong-ki said, “I came to check my armpits and see if my butt is okay,” revealing he visited the hospital to remove a boil.

Lee Hong-ki explained, “Now that there are many festivals, I came just in case. I’ve had a few bites, but I’ve been suffering from boils for 20 years... haven’t I had surgery three times? Before that, I had about eight surgeries with another doctor. When you have surgery, they cut everything, so it was a complex. I couldn’t go to the bathhouse often,” sharing his unique concerns.

The doctor explained, “It’s a suppurative hidradenitis, which is divided into three stages depending on the severity. If it gets worse, underground tunnels will form under the skin between the boils.”

After already removing a boil the size of a palm and inserting a tube, Lee Hong-ki said, “All the blood is pooling in my butt, so it hurts... it’s hard to lie down and I can’t sit,” he said. Lee Hong-ki shared, “It started when I was in middle school. Back then, I had to put on a plaster and couldn’t sit properly during class, so I sat on the edge of my seat. But during class, the boil burst. My uniform got all wet, so I had to leave early,” expressing his struggles.

The doctor advised Lee Hong-ki to refrain from greasy and spicy foods, cigarettes, and alcohol, saying, “It seems like you’ve managed your butt well when viewed with ultrasound, but there are traces in your armpits,” and advised him to take care.

It airs on Sundays at 9:05 PM on SBS.
