Model and broadcaster Hong Jin-kyung shared her thoughts on acting.
On the 10th, Hong Jin-kyung and Lee Dong-wook appeared as guests on SBS 'Whenever I Have a Chance,'.
On that day, Lee Dong-wook recalled, "It was when I was doing the play 'The Lives of Others.' I ate too much for lunch, and as soon as the performance started, the mic band came loose. So I held the mic and performed." He continued, "Once you get on stage, you can't come down for 10 minutes, so I acted while holding the mic with my hands in my pockets. After the performance, Kim Jun-han said, 'It felt really good to act with my hands in my pockets,'" which made everyone laugh.
Hearing this, Hong Jin-kyung said, "Should I try something like a musical?" Lee Dong-wook replied, "Go ahead," but added, "There are many children's musicals, like 'Jack and the Beanstalk' and 'Annie,'" which surprised everyone.
Yoo Jae-suk asked Hong Jin-kyung, "Do you still have a thirst for acting?" Hong Jin-kyung responded, "When I do something, I want to reach a point where I can bloom in that field, like being an MC in entertainment or a CEO in business."
When Hong Jin-kyung said, "The ultimate goal of acting for me is to be the female lead in a melodrama," Yoo Yeon-seok couldn't hold back his laughter. Hong Jin-kyung then said, "I'm not saying I want to do a melodrama. Listen to the whole story," feeling a bit hurt.
Hong Jin-kyung shared, "I wasn't thinking about acting at all, but when writer Park Ji-eun called me for the drama 'My Love from the Star,' I refused until the end. I said I couldn't do it. I was doing well in entertainment, so I asked her to convince me why I should play Jeon Ji-hyun's friend."
She continued, "The writer didn't really persuade me much, but I was quickly convinced and stepped into the world of acting. Then I found out there was another world. My heart for acting is still open now."
Hong Jin-kyung mentioned that she is the persona of writer Park Ji-eun. When Yoo Jae-suk asked, "Did you get the writer's permission?" Hong Jin-kyung replied, "The writer nodded a few times," which made everyone laugh.
