The new tvN weekend drama ‘Seocho-dong’ (written by Lee Seung-hyun / directed by Park Seung-woo / planned by CJ ENM Studios / produced by Chorokbaem Media) will premiere on July 5, and has released a commuting teaser video, a leaving work teaser video, and a commuting poster, raising expectations for the workplace lives of the five associate lawyers (lawyers employed by law firms and receiving a salary).
The released teaser video shows the commuting scenes of associate lawyers in the Hyungmin Building, where various law firms are gathered on each floor in the Seocho-dong legal town. The contrast between Bae Moon-jung (played by Ryu Hye-young), who hurriedly gets on the elevator with a takeout cup in one hand, and Jo Chang-won (played by Kang Yoo-seok) and Ha Sang-ki (played by Lim Sung-jae), who leisurely enjoy their coffee, brings a smile.
Ahn Joo-hyung (played by Lee Jong-suk), who boasts the longest experience among the ‘Law Avengers’ (a combination of Avengers + lawyers), arrives early at work and showcases his professionalism by tackling the mountain of tasks one by one. First-year associate lawyer Kang Hee-ji (played by Moon Ga-young) is also busy handling morning tasks with coffee, an essential item for office workers.
As they handle their work on their respective floors, the five gather on the rooftop as lunchtime approaches, starting a discussion about what to eat with the question, “What should we eat?” This piques curiosity about what choice the five, facing the most important and careful moment of the day for office workers, will make.
After a delicious lunch break, as the sun sets and it’s time to leave work, the sight of the five preparing to head home catches the eye. The pile of coffee cups stacked on their desks hints at their tiring day, while the ‘Law Avengers’ gathered in the lobby cheerfully shout, “Ganmack (simple beer)?” as they step out of the office. This draws attention to the story of friends who start their day with coffee and end it with beer.
Additionally, the commuting poster released features the ‘Law Avengers’ striding confidently through the Seocho-dong legal town, filled with various law firms and legal offices. Like the phrase ‘We are commuting to Seocho-dong today,’ the workplace lives of the lawyers unfolding in Seocho-dong are highly anticipated.
