Counselor Lee Ho-sun shed tears while mentioning the death of a client.
On the 28th, MBC's 'Radio Star' featured guests Lee Kyung-sil, Choi Yeo-jin, Lee Ho-sun, and Sa Yu-ri.
That day, Lee Ho-sun commented on being called "the Kim Gu-ra of the counseling world," saying, "I'm not that much." He continued, "Many people say I'm a tiger counselor after watching 'Divorce Reflection Camp,' but I'm a cat. I'm not that strong, and I help people face reality when it's necessary."
When Kim Guk-jin said, "Lee Ho-sun is active as a human whip in 'Divorce Reflection Camp'," Lee Ho-sun replied, "There’s a video that compiles only the things I said. It has over a million views. Many people have watched it and said, 'Thank you for scratching my back.'
He continued, "'Divorce Reflection Camp's' YouTube channel has the comment function disabled. However, videos uploaded through other channels allow comments. There are so many unspeakable things there. The people who appear on 'Divorce Reflection Camp' are those who have lived in hell and come to that place thinking there might be light. They are truly brave and deserve respect. Even if you feel frustrated, I hope you can support them. I hope there won't be anyone who places their hands on the pain."
Meanwhile, Lee Ho-sun recalled instances where clients died during counseling, cautiously stating, "People who originally have deep depression or trauma from extreme experiences may not be able to overcome new psychological pressures and make extreme choices."
He added, "I have had such experiences about three times. When I experienced it for the first time, I couldn't eat for about two months. I felt like an idiot and thought it was my fault that that person ended up that way. My mind was so complicated that I kept crying. When that incident first happened, I took psychiatric medication."
He then expressed, "If counselors carry a heavy weight, wouldn't their own issues be projected onto the counseling content with clients? They receive educational analysis to alleviate their own problems, and during that time, I heard a lot of 'It's not your fault,' and I shed tears."
