Comedian Lee Soo-ji has returned as Jamie Mom, satirizing the ‘Daechi Mom’ after three months.
On the 20th, a video titled ‘[Human Documentary, Children are Good] EP.03 ‘As a Mother’ Special Birthday Party Audition of Jamie Mom Lee So-dam’ was posted on the YouTube channel ‘Hot Issue Ji’.
In the video, when the PD said, “It’s been almost three months. You haven’t been responding to messages,” Lee Soo-ji, transformed into Jamie Mom, replied, “Actually, our Jamie is 4 years old. They say it’s the terrible 4s, but I’ve been so busy following Jamie through this phase.”
She then boasted about her fashion, saying, “I’ve just been waiting for it to get warmer. I have my favorite fashion for when it gets hot.” She wore a Helen Kaminski hat, Hermes sandals, a scarf, and a Van Cleef & Arpels necklace.
Jamie Mom parodied the enthusiastic mom by preparing a large wreath for her English kindergarten teacher ahead of Teacher's Day, or asking a parent she met at a kids' cafe, “Honey, can you send me the academy information via text?”
The video received comments like, “I currently work at a math academy in Daechi-dong. It’s 1000% the same,” “It’s so funny how you cautiously gather information while complimenting someone else's child,” and “The synchronization rate is really high. Not everyone behaves like this, but they really do pick trendy items well.”
Previously, Lee Soo-ji gained popularity with the ‘Human Documentary, Children are Good’ series, parodying the fervent moms in Gangnam. In particular, the Moncler padding and Chanel bag that Lee Soo-ji wore resonated well with the fashion of actual Gangnam moms.
