Actress Park Eun-hye shared her feelings after her divorce.

On the 20th, SBS Plus and E Channel’s ‘Because I’m Single’ depicted Park Eun-hye’s daily life.

On this day, Park Eun-hye said, “It feels like it’s been a really long time since I met friends on my birthday. It’s been about 5 years.” She continued, “For my first birthday as a single, I made plans to meet with friends. We had a fancy party with balloons like before marriage. For my second birthday, I wanted to eat at a nice restaurant. But it’s awkward to go to such places alone, and everyone goes with their boyfriends, right? So my friends suggested, ‘Let’s have a birthday party and go to an expensive place, each paying our share,’ and we had a party at a fine dining restaurant.”

Park Eun-hye, who has been divorced for 9 years, recalled, “My friends were really surprised when I got divorced. They didn’t expect it at all, and it was strange to hear that I suddenly broke up.” She added, “I contacted them saying I suddenly moved to Seoul, and we gathered. At that time, I didn’t say anything. They just thought I had moved, but after we ate, I told them I had divorced.”

Park Eun-hye said, “After getting married, I lived in an apartment. But after the divorce, I wanted to live in a high place. I wanted to live somewhere open. The moment I went to see the (new) house, I just felt good being there.” She added, “I thought it would be nice if I could breathe.”

When Park Eun-hye said, “I gained freedom after the divorce,” her friends joked, “You gained a lot of freedom.” Park Eun-hye replied, “But there are many downsides to it. So when someone says they are getting a divorce, I tell them not to. There are times when I need a husband. There’s also anxiety. As I get older, I feel like anxiety about the future comes along.”

Park Eun-hye asked her friends, “When do you feel most secure with a husband?” The friends replied, “When he helps with recycling,” and “When he comes to pick me up after drinking.” To this, Park Eun-hye said, “I’ve been doing the recycling myself for 9 years. I’ve never met a boyfriend who comes to pick me up after drinking.”

When her friends asked, “Do you think about dating?” Park Eun-hye responded, “If there’s a good person, I would like to. I’m not completely closed off to the idea.” She continued, “I thought it would be nice to have a boyfriend when I want to go to a nice restaurant on my birthday or on special occasions.”

In response, Shin Dong-yeob said, “You definitely haven’t been idle for the past 9 years,” to which Park Eun-hye jokingly replied, “They don’t leave me alone,” causing laughter.
