In the SBS variety show ‘Whenever I Can,’ airing on the 20th, TWICE's Jihyo and Sana will appear as 'friends of the gap.'
During a recent recording, Jihyo and Sana put everything aside and go full throttle in front of the games on ‘Whenever I Can.’ Before the actual game even begins, Sana expresses her overwhelming excitement, saying, “Why am I so nervous? My heart hurts.”
Meanwhile, when Jihyo struggles to see the quiz board, she transforms into a polite black consumer, asking, “I’m sorry, but could you lower it a bit faster? I can’t see the letters well,” and adds “I’m sorry” which brings laughter from the production team. Yoo Jae-suk exclaims, “Jihyo is something else~” in admiration. Jihyo, maintaining her politeness until the end, honestly states, “I’m sorry, I just really want to win,” making the scene burst into laughter.
As the game intensifies, the tension between the two escalates uncontrollably. Eventually, Sana, overwhelmed by her immersion, complains, “I feel like I’m going to throw up,” prompting Jihyo to urgently intervene, saying, “Breathe, Sana, breathe,” which surprises Yoo Jae-suk and Yoo Yeon-seok. Ultimately, Yoo Jae-suk exclaims, “Jihyo, your voice has changed. Even your voice changes while playing the game. Were you this deep-voiced?” in astonishment.
Meanwhile, Sana reportedly resorts to her special move, the ‘foreigner card,’ raising curiosity about the situation. Whenever difficult Korean words come up in the game, she sparkles her innocent eyes and confidently requests, “I’m a foreigner, you know?” to use easier Korean, reportedly leaving the production team in shock.
It remains to be seen whether the bewildered production team granted benefits to the foreigner Sana, and what kind of game would prompt Sana to request easier Korean. The fiery competitive spirit of Jihyo and Sana that blurs the line between life and death in ‘Whenever I Can’ is highly anticipated.
