Actress Hong Jin-hee revealed that she endured tough times thanks to the people around her.
In the KBS2 broadcast of ‘Park Won-sook’s Living Together’ on the 12th, Park Won-sook, Hye-eun, Hong Jin-hee, and Yoon Da-hoon were seen reminiscing about the past while doing moxibustion.
On that day, Park Won-sook prepared bibimbap for lunch for Hong Jin-hee and Yoon Da-hoon, who had just returned from Jeondeungsa Temple. Hong Jin-hee proudly said, “That was sent by Kim Hye-soo. Didn’t she say she would send me food once a month? She sent it early in the morning on the day I came here.”
Hong Jin-hee and Kim Hye-soo are close friends boasting a 30-year friendship. Previously, Hong Jin-hee mentioned that she has maintained her friendship with Kim Hye-soo since they met through the drama ‘The Couple’, saying, “Kim Hye-soo goes grocery shopping once a month and sends me food. It’s not just once or twice, and even though I feel sorry and tell her not to, she says, ‘Isn’t it nice to keep in touch once a month even if we can’t see each other often?’”
When Hye-eun suggested, “Invite Kim Hye-soo to ‘Living Together’,” Park Won-sook chimed in, “If there’s friendship, she will come.” To this, Hong Jin-hee laughed and said, “I’ll talk to her about it.”
Hong Jin-hee also shared her story of wanting to leave the entertainment industry. She said, “When I was exhausted from the entertainment industry, I met the director of ‘The Couple’. I told him, ‘I’m going to leave for abroad. I don’t want to do this anymore,’ and the director said, ‘Don’t spit on the well you’ve drunk from. You never know what will happen in life.’” She added, “It means that you might have to drink the water you spat out again. Looking back, that statement was spot on.”
After a 10-year hiatus before joining ‘Living Together’, when asked if she was anxious about not having an income, Hong Jin-hee replied, “I didn’t worry about that. I worried when I was younger, but I thought, is there really a need to struggle so much? I’m not going to starve to death right away, and I don’t have any debts.”
She continued, “I don’t have any debts. But I live with a debt of gratitude to those around me. People like Kim Hye-soo and Jo Hye-ryun treat me so well and want to give me gifts. I feel indebted to people.”
