Actor Yoon Da-hoon shared the story of his father opposing his decision to become an actor.

On the 12th, KBS2’s ‘Park Won-sook’s Let’s Live Together’ featured Park Won-sook, Hye-eun, Hong Jin-hee, and Yoon Da-hoon visiting a cafe filled with antiques.

That day, Yoon Da-hoon recounted a story related to an old barber chair. He began, “I have a memory of crying while sitting in the barber chair.” He continued, “When I said I wanted to be an actor, my father opposed it. At that time, my uncle was living as a singer under the stage name ‘Namhangang’. The family was going through a tough time. (My uncle) was so unknown that he promoted himself by playing guitar in Myeongdong. My father saw that, which is why he opposed me becoming an actor.”

Yoon Da-hoon revealed that he ran away from home when his father opposed his acting career. He said, “Since I didn’t come back, my father enlisted me in the military. I heard the news that my enlistment notice had come and returned home, but the next day was my enlistment day. My mother told me, ‘Since you’re going to the military tomorrow, hurry and get your hair cut at the barber.’ So, I went to the barber. While sitting in the barber chair, I couldn’t help but cry.”

He added, “If I had known earlier, I could have spent more time with my parents before leaving. I returned home, and the next day was enlistment. My father also cried because it reminded him of the barber shop.”

Meanwhile, ‘Park Won-sook’s Let’s Live Together’ airs every Monday at 8:30 PM.
