Webtoon artist and broadcaster Calm Man revealed that he suffered significant losses in stocks.

On the 8th, Calm Man appeared as a guest on KBS2’s ‘Problematic Children in the Rooftop Room’ (hereinafter ‘Okmunah’).

On that day, Calm Man drew attention by stating that he decided to appear on ‘Okmunah’ because of Joo Woo-jae. Calm Man said, “We are close, and since I tend to be shy in entertainment, I needed a hand in (entertainment).”

Calm Man and Joo Woo-jae are said to be close friends who even travel abroad together. Calm Man mentioned, “People usually say I’m cold if I only say what’s necessary. But with Joo Woo-jae, we don’t feel hurt even if we only say what we want to say.” Joo Woo-jae also agreed, saying, “It feels like we are on the same wavelength, so there’s no discomfort. There’s no fatigue.”

Song Eun-yi said, “My nephew is in the 6th grade of elementary school, and he was the only one who asked for (Calm Man’s) autograph. I got it for him, and he treasures it on his desk. He’s very popular.” She continued, “(His YouTube channel) has 2.8 million subscribers and a total of 3.2 billion views.”

Calm Man explained why people like his YouTube channel, saying, “My peers don’t have many viewers. It seems advantageous not to act your age. It has to be a bit childish.” Joo Woo-jae added, “When I hang out with Calm Man, it feels like playing house with a childhood friend.” Calm Man further stated, “I want attention, so I act out to the point of going down to a 10-year-old level.”

Calm Man expressed his delight about Joo Woo-jae, who frequently appears as a guest on his channel, saying, “Joo Woo-jae sells well. That’s why I keep inviting him. Supporting Joo Woo-jae’s entertainment activities means that the more he appears, the better he sells on my (YouTube) channel.”

Regarding the criteria for inviting guests, Calm Man explained, “If someone I don’t know at all comes, I get thrown off. They need to know a bit about me for the conversation to flow. Since I’m quite childish, someone who doesn’t know me might think, ‘Why is he talking like that?’”

Calm Man established a one-person planning company in his 12th year of starting personal broadcasting. He explained, “It’s a YouTube production company. I appear, and someone else manages it.”

When asked where he spends most of the money he earns, Calm Man replied, “I spend a lot on stocks. But I lose it all. If I just stay still, I can manage to break even, but averaging down tends to make it worse.” He added, “It’s like a ghost; when I go to the director, the director melts. And at one point, didn’t they say you were a fool if you didn’t invest in stocks? Now the stock market is a mess.” To this, Joo Woo-jae chimed in, “Those who invest in stocks should just watch (Calm Man) and do the opposite.”
