
Broadcaster Shin Dong-yeop won the Male Entertainment Award in the broadcasting category at the ‘Baeksang Arts Awards’.
The 61st Baeksang Arts Awards took place on the evening of the 5th at COEX in Gangnam, Seoul. The awards recognize the best works and actors in the broadcasting (TV), film, and theater categories for the first half of 2024 and 2025. The event was hosted by broadcaster Shin Dong-yeop, actress and singer Suzy, and actor Park Bo-gum.
On this day, Shin Dong-yeop received the Male Entertainment Award in the broadcasting category. He is actively involved as a key figure in SNL Korea.
Shin Dong-yeop expressed, “I feel blank in my head like when I received the Rookie Award. My heart is pounding,” while also conveying his gratitude to his fellow colleagues and juniors.
He added, “I will be a senior who becomes a great tailwind for my junior colleagues on their journey and navigation.”
The Baeksang Arts Awards is a comprehensive arts award established in 1965 to promote the development of Korean popular culture and arts and to boost the morale of artists, awarding the production teams and performers in the TV, film, and theater categories that aired or screened over the past year.
This year's theme for the Baeksang Arts Awards is ‘Sailing, Navigation’. It embodies the meaning of supporting the development and journey of popular culture and arts that are advancing beyond Korea to the world.
