Actor Choi Dae-hoon won the Best Supporting Actor award in the broadcast section at the ‘Baeksang Arts Awards’.
On the evening of the 5th at 8 PM, the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards took place at COEX in Gangnam, Seoul. The awards recognize the best works and actors in the broadcasting (TV), film, and theater sectors for the first half of 2024 and 2025. The event was hosted by broadcaster Shin Dong-yeop, actress and singer Suzy, and actor Park Bo-gum.
On this day, Choi Dae-hoon became the Best Supporting Actor for the drama ‘Poksak Sogassda’ (Netflix).
Choi Dae-hoon said, “It feels like a hidden camera. I am very grateful to the organizers for providing such a precious and honorable award. I think it will be the best Children’s Day gift.”
He continued, “I must have not received awards in my life to receive this one. When I got the call from the production team of ‘Poksak Sogassda’, it was a thrilling, worrying, and happy journey that I will never forget.”
He added, “I started this work because I wanted to show a side that people like. But now, I am receiving comfort instead, and I keep tearing up. It is such an honor to receive comfort. I will live to comfort you all more in the future. Rather than worrying about whether others like me or not, I will think about my duties as an actor and strive to be an actor who has a happy influence.” He concluded with, “In this harsh world, when it gets tough, shout out, ‘Hakssi!’” leaving everyone in laughter.
In the drama, Choi Dae-hoon played the role of Busaeng-gil, also known as ‘Mr. Hakssi’, and received great love.
