Actress and singer Suzy shared her thoughts on completing 10 years as an MC for the 'Baeksang Arts Awards.'

On the evening of the 5th at 8 PM, the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards took place at COEX in Gangnam, Seoul. The awards recognize the best works and actors in the TV, film, and theater categories for the first half of 2024 and 2025. The event was hosted by broadcaster Shin Dong-yeop, actress and singer Suzy, and actor Park Bo-gum. The three have consistently worked together since 2018, except for 2021 when Park Bo-gum was absent due to military service.

In particular, 'the veteran of Baeksang,' Shin Dong-yeop, held the MC microphone for the 11th time this year, while Suzy celebrates the monumental year of '10 years as a Baeksang MC.' Park Bo-gum also made his 7th appearance as an MC, solidifying his status as the face of Baeksang.

On this day, the 'Baeksang Arts Awards' organizers presented Suzy with a bouquet to commemorate her 10th anniversary as an MC before the awards ceremony. Suzy expressed, "I was really nervous when I first became the MC for the 'Baeksang Arts Awards,' and it's a new feeling to realize that it's already been 10 years. I'm grateful."

In response, Shin Dong-yeop said, "I think the reason we've been able to continue together until now is because I've felt nervous, excited, and tense all this time."

The Baeksang Arts Awards is an award ceremony established in 1965 to promote the development of Korean popular culture and arts and to boost the morale of artists. It is a comprehensive arts award that honors the production teams and performers in the TV, film, and theater categories that have aired or been screened over the past year.

This year's theme for the Baeksang Arts Awards is 'Sailing Forward.' It embodies the meaning of supporting the development and journey of popular culture and arts that are moving beyond Korea to the world.
