'The Manager's Perspective' has launched an environmental special.

On the afternoon of the 3rd, MBC's entertainment program 'The Manager's Perspective' (hereafter 'The Manager's Perspective') featured guests Kim Seok-hoon and Kim Sung-ryung.

On this day’s broadcast, the first protagonist of the perspective was 'Trash Man' Kim Seok-hoon. The manager revealed, "The senior likes to walk, and it seems he has a lot of free time until the kids come home from school."

Stopping in front of a garbage dump, he wondered what was thrown away and opened the food waste bin to check what had been eaten and collected.

At that moment, he discovered a discarded heater and laughed heartily, saying, "They threw away something useful. It was exactly what I needed~ I hit the jackpot again," and took the heater with him. The manager added, "The senior often picks up useful things from the street. He talks a lot about the environment and knows many tips related to it. He originally wanted to buy a lot of things, but that thought has changed. He often refers to himself as the 'Trash Man's Trash Manager,'" sharing his satisfaction with the situation.

Upon arriving at his personal office, Kim Seok-hoon also revealed furniture he purchased second-hand. He said, "This is something my father used before he passed away. I was going to throw everything away, but I brought it all here to use," proudly showcasing his eco-friendly space.

Showing satisfaction with the perfectly functioning heater, Kim Seok-hoon sat down and checked his mailbox, immediately deleting unnecessary emails. When the manager entered the office, Kim Seok-hoon proudly said, "Look at this~ I picked it up," showing off the heater in a somewhat cute manner.

The two then headed outside to the Hwanghak-dong Flea Market. The manager explained, "The senior thinks of this place as a department store. He often spends time here," as if he was familiar with the area. Spotting a second-hand shop, Kim Seok-hoon asked, "Look, there's a traditional drum over there, right? There aren't any children's toy drums, are there?" as he thoughtfully prepared for his children.

The owner of his favorite antique shop handed Kim Seok-hoon a clock from a decommissioned World War II airplane, earning everyone's envy.

After finishing their exploration, Kim Seok-hoon and the manager headed to a famous Dongtae Jjigae restaurant. While waiting for their meal, Kim Seok-hoon explained the reason why the pollock is from Russia, saying, "In the past, a lot of pollock was caught in the East Sea, but due to global warming, their habitat is moving."

Kim Seok-hoon boasted, "I dyed my hair last night," to which the manager replied, "I don't think you've been to a salon. I wonder if I've seen you go to a salon in the past two years. It seems like you do the simple things at home yourself."

The manager added, "I also don't like spending money, so I tend to use second-hand items. If you go to a good apartment, there are many good things," showing a similar mindset to Kim Seok-hoon.

Later, Kim Seok-hoon visited a university for a book signing event. He stated, "Whose planet is the Earth? I think this land belongs to the Earth. It seems to start from the illusion that it belongs to me," delivering a compelling lecture that resonated with the audience.

The second protagonist of the perspective was Kim Sung-ryung. As soon as she woke up, she took probiotics, soybean milk, and nuts, saying, "I eat nuts and coconut oil diligently, but I can't remember where my phone is," as she searched for her mobile phone.

In her study, she also exclaimed, "Oh my, I can't remember where my notebook is," showing a silly side that made everyone laugh.

She then visited a vocal academy to practice her vocalization. Kim Sung-ryung revealed, "I have a vocal cord disorder. My autonomic nervous system is disrupted, causing my vocal cords to stiffen. I get tense even in situations where I shouldn't be. It's been 20 years since it started, and I wandered alone for 10 years, getting Botox for my vocal cords and acting for 10 years," surprising the panel.

She continued, "However, when I get Botox, my vocal cords don't move, so when I need to shout, no sound comes out. It's been 10 months since I last got Botox, and this is the first time I haven't had it. I'm trying to overcome it," sharing her struggles. Jeon Hyun-moo commented, "Then how tense must you have been while acting? Afraid that no sound would come out," while Lee Young-ja praised her, saying, "You acted so well that we couldn't even notice."

After a successful vocal practice, the manager reminisced, "Three years ago, my sister transferred to another agency. I relied on her a lot. Since she wasn't around, I experienced burnout and quit being a manager to work in demolition with a friend. It seems like three years have passed like that." He added, "I injured my elbow and had surgery in January, and my sister came to visit me in the hospital. She asked about my future plans and suggested that we work together," revealing how he got back to work.

Kim Sung-ryung, who became the second chairperson of the Good Influence Store, stated, "There are 3,000 of these stores nationwide. People who want to help children can do so, whether it's a hair salon, dermatology clinic, or not a restaurant," showcasing her unique charitable efforts.

She added, "Through SNS, I was able to provide food to children in need, and I expressed my desire to visit them directly. I became the second chairperson through this good opportunity. I couldn't pay the rent, so I got a separate office for myself," earning admiration from the panel.

Kim Sung-ryung and her manager then visited the One Table restaurant, a Good Influence Store, to discuss the owner’s charitable efforts. The owner surprised everyone by saying, "The restaurant's profit is zero, and the ingredient costs are covered by working at other restaurants."

The owner added, "I didn't have money either, but I worked hard for a year, combined that money with loans, and opened the restaurant. The ultimate goal is for our association to no longer exist, right? Children should be able to eat at any restaurant as a matter of course," touching everyone with his words.

Later, the two traveled to Chuncheon for a flea market. As the bad weather kept people away, Kim Sung-ryung actively promoted the event and held a charity auction for her cherished items with comedian Kim Young-hee. Showing off limited edition luxury items, Kim Sung-ryung said, "I wanted to provide a market for small business owners. Two years ago, we raised 35 million won, and I contributed 5 million won, but this time we raised 25 million won. So I added 15 million won from my own pocket," demonstrating her commitment to charity.

'The Manager's Perspective' airs every Saturday at 11:10 PM on MBC.
