The MBN special project commemorating its 30th anniversary, "You Have to Run to Live," which will air for the first time on the 19th at 8:20 PM, is a sports reality show that captures the process of stars from different backgrounds challenging themselves in a marathon to overcome their limits. Sean, known as the 'Marathon Angel,' and Lee Young-pyo will serve as the team leader and deputy leader, while Bae Seung-jae and Yang Se-hyung will join as the marathon commentators.
The 16 'beginner runners' include 'Basketball President' Heo Jae, actress Bang Eun-hee, former baseball player Yang Jun-hyuk, lawyer Yang So-young, hair loss doctor Han Sang-bo, chef Jung Ho-young, choreographer Bae Yoon-jung, brain scientist Jang Dong-seon, former MBC announcer and broadcaster Son Jung-eun, 'Physical 100' fitness creator Jo Jin-hyung, former baseball player Choi Jun-seok, singer Sleepy, comedian Kim Seung-jin, trot singer Ahn Seong-hoon, former LABOUM member Yulhee, and former Golden Child member Lee Jang-jun.
On this day, the 16 'You Have to Run Crew' members will hold a launch ceremony and meet for the first time. They will then share their personal stories and heartfelt goals for taking on the marathon challenge. In particular, Yang Jun-hyuk, the 'new dad born in 1969,' reveals, "I had my first daughter at 55 last year," and adds, "When I got married, I was the 'Sperm King.' But now, I've heard that my count has dropped by 70%. I'm worried that if I don't manage it, I won't be able to have a second child, and that's when I met 'You Have to Run to Live' as if by fate," which resonates with many.
Former professional baseball player Choi Jun-seok also shares his heavy feelings. He confesses, "I was scammed out of 2 billion won, and I felt so sorry for my family," and adds, "I wanted to show that I can rise again, so I decided to take on the marathon challenge." As he leaves the baseball field, there is anticipation for what changes and overcoming moments he will create through the marathon course. Choreographer Bae Yoon-jung candidly shares her struggles with postpartum depression. She tears up, saying, "I suffered severely from postpartum depression, and sometimes my son felt like a hindrance to my work." She continues, "If I could turn back time, I would want to give him so much love. Above all, I want him to know that he is a very lovely and precious being, which is why I started running."
Additionally, Sleepy mentions his physical issues that made it hard to hold his child due to decreased stamina, stating, "I want to become stronger as a dad before the second child is born," while Bang Eun-hee, Yang So-young, Jung Ho-young, Han Sang-bo, and Jang Dong-seon also sincerely share their hidden worries and personal goals during the launch ceremony.
Meanwhile, after the launch ceremony, the 16 'You Have to Run Crew' members will begin the '5km Marathon Test,' and their heartfelt stories and the first marathon test scene can be seen in the first episode of MBN's special project "You Have to Run to Live," airing on the 19th at 8:20 PM.
