‘Sisters' Direct Delivery 2’ has announced the return of pure entertainment with the chemistry of the four siblings that does not disappoint expectations.

The first episode of the tvN entertainment program ‘Sisters' Direct Delivery 2 (Directed by Kim Se-hee) aired on the 13th, depicting the journey of the four siblings as they headed to Gangwon-do to begin their first winter. The winter labor scene, which has become even more powerful than season 1 amidst the changing seasons, provided unmissable fun, and the genuine sibling chemistry mixed with the new youngest members captivated the viewers.

The character showcase of the four siblings that unfolded from the first broadcast was another point of enjoyment. Yeom Jung-ah shone with her reliable presence as the big sister who takes care of her younger siblings, while the lively and lovely Park Jun-myeon, an essential part of direct delivery, brought laughter. Lim Ji-yeon, with her friendly personality and genuine passion for work and food, and the sweet and versatile youngest member Lee Jae-wook, who captured the hearts of his older sisters, also heightened expectations for winter in season 2.

The first broadcast recorded a successful start with an average rating of 3.6% and a peak of 6.4% among households in the metropolitan area, and an average of 3.2% and a peak of 5.2% nationwide. Notably, in the target demographic of tvN, viewers aged 20-49, it achieved an average of 1.7% and a peak of 3.9% in the metropolitan area, and an average of 1.9% and a peak of 3.4% nationwide, ranking first in the same time slot including cable and general programming channels (Nielsen Korea, based on paid platforms).

The first episode of season 2 opened by introducing new family members. Yeom Jung-ah, Park Jun-myeon, and Lim Ji-yeon had a pre-meeting to build camaraderie, and after the youngest Lee Jae-wook joined, they had another gathering, quickly becoming closer. Notably, Lim Ji-yeon, known as a big eater in the entertainment industry, shared past part-time job episodes where she worked just to eat, expressing that it was “the reason she wanted to be on this program the most,” which garnered positive reactions. Lee Jae-wook, a versatile youngest member with various part-time job experiences, showcased his unique sense from the first meeting, leading Yeom Jung-ah to smile and say, “He has a good work ethic.”

A month later, the first destination for the four siblings was Goseong, Gangwon-do. Experienced members Yeom Jung-ah and Park Jun-myeon were worried ahead of the winter labor starting at 4 AM, while the new youngest members were blissfully unaware of the reality they were about to face. The fishing method that day was ‘political net fishing,’ making it unpredictable for the first time to catch seasonal ingredients on the same day. Various fish species were caught, and it was impossible to know what was in the net until it was pulled up. The largest fishing boat in direct delivery, along with cranes, hinted at the unprecedented scale of this season.

The four siblings arrived at a labor site reminiscent of a battlefield, facing a chilling temperature of minus 20 degrees Celsius and rough waves. They began with the heavy task of pulling up the nets, and as various fish like squid, herring, cod, and flounder started pouring in, they shouted “Pull it, pull it!” and began to get excited. Following that, the lifting work, which involved a massive crane, and sorting based on the size and species of the fish took place. When a gigantic octopus appeared, Lee Jae-wook stepped up as the reliable net master.

The problem arose with sudden seasickness. Especially, the youngest Lee Jae-wook, who had exerted himself excessively on the shaking boat, was helpless against the seasickness, and on top of that, Lim Ji-yeon had to battle seasickness as well. The new youngest member repeatedly fell and got back up, enduring a harsh initiation into fishing. In contrast, the experienced sisters appeared fine even after over three hours of fishing, jokingly worrying only about how to eat the cod. Yeom Jung-ah and Park Jun-myeon remarked, “The winter sea definitely feels different from the summer sea. There’s a robustness to it,” showing their realization of the seasonal change.

Feeling the hardships of fishing, the four siblings returned to the port after four hours and enjoyed a delicious snack by the sea. Lim Ji-yeon began her eating broadcast by biting into warm fish cakes and chewy rice cakes, while the youngest Lee Jae-wook was humorously drawn into the eating session. Especially after suffering from the cold and seasickness, Lee Jae-wook reflected, “I always just ate; it seems like it’s not an easy job,” appreciating the value of the meal. The direct delivery fee received by the four siblings was 200,000 won. They received squid, flounder, rockfish, and cod they caught as gifts, looking forward to a bountiful seasonal dinner.

The house where the four siblings would stay was located in a stone-walled village at the foot of Seoraksan in Sokcho. Despite having gone fishing since dawn, Yeom Jung-ah immediately started cleaning, with Lee Jae-wook following suit, grabbing a vacuum cleaner and acting as ‘Yeom Jung-ah Junior.’ Under the leadership of ‘Captain Yeom’ Yeom Jung-ah, the grand cooking adventure began. The ever-generous Yeom Jung-ah teamed up with the youngest Lee Jae-wook to make ‘homemade tofu,’ while Park Jun-myeon, in charge of mixing pickled radish, coordinated with Lim Ji-yeon.

The process of making homemade tofu was quite labor-intensive. Yeom Jung-ah showcased her thoroughness by practicing at home beforehand, and Lee Jae-wook displayed his meticulousness, perfectly syncing with Captain Yeom. ‘Seasoning Master’ Park Jun-myeon completed a flavorful seasoning to mix with the sweet winter radish. The homemade tofu-making scene brought laughter as Lim Ji-yeon and the others engaged in a real-life skit. The youngest members’ first challenge with the stove also elicited laughter from the viewers. Lim Ji-yeon and Lee Jae-wook showcased their playful chemistry, ‘Lim-tudak and Wook-tudak,’ raising expectations for the youngest members’ performance.

Meanwhile, ‘Sisters' Direct Delivery 2’ is a fishing village reality show that captures various jobs and foods from the clean sea, as well as fresh winter and spring seasonal meals that can only be tasted in the production area, airing every Sunday at 7:40 PM.
