Le Sserafim's Sakura and Hong Eun-chae have appeared on ‘Running Man’.
The SBS variety show ‘Running Man’ aired on the afternoon of the 23rd with the episode titled ‘Leaving Work is Charging Time’.
On this day’s broadcast, Le Sserafim members Sakura and Hong Eun-chae participated. The production team explained, “We will give you a team of phones with dead batteries. After charging, you can contact the main PD and say, ‘We will be leaving work now.’ Only the first two teams can leave immediately, while the remaining team can leave after some overtime.”
In Yoo Jae-suk's team were Ji Suk-jin and Sakura, in Kim Jong-kook's team were Ji Yea-eun and Hong Eun-chae, and in Haha's team were Yang Se-chan and Song Ji-hyo, and each team prepared for their missions.
The first mission, ‘So Hot Nickname Generator’, began, and the production team explained, “You need to come up with a clever nickname based on the given photo. Please respond in sentences, not just words.”
The first photo revealed was Haha's passport photo, and Yoo Jae-suk immediately joked, “This is a member of the voice phishing organization caught this time,” while Yang Se-chan added, “A real-life character from the crime city.” Next, a photo of Ji Yea-eun with a retro vibe was presented. Haha called her “the girl in the helmet,” and Yoo Jae-suk created the nickname “Gondure Mandure” right away.
When Yoo Jae-suk's photo was revealed, he remarked, “Ji-ho, even if I earn money like this, I earn more than Seok-jin hyung,” causing everyone to burst into laughter. For Ji Yea-eun's double chin photo, Kim Jong-kook teased, “I want to eat the microphone, wow,” continuing to poke fun at her.
The production team announced, “We will start the official mission. You need to accurately state the nicknames you just created,” revealing a new rule. After the game, Kim Jong-kook's team came in first, and the three teams received their charged phones based on the mission results.
While moving to the next location, Yoo Jae-suk said, “Sakura said she has a younger brother.” To this, Sakura replied, “Mr. Yoo Jae-suk, he is the same age as your son. We are zodiac twins.” She continued, “He likes girl groups but tries not to show it to me. He says, ‘I prefer IVE or aespa’... He said he listens to Le Sserafim's songs when I’m not around,” which made everyone laugh.
Haha then asked, “You guys are at an age where you should be having fun... If you weren’t celebrities, what would you want to do?” When the two couldn’t answer, Yoo Jae-suk lamented, “I would definitely be meeting people!”
Sakura said, “I want to go on a dating reality show! ‘Transit Love’! But I can’t go because I don’t have an ex-boyfriend.” Ji Yea-eun added, “I haven’t tried dating either. I was a CC (Campus Couple). Because I was quite popular. They liked me,” she said shyly.
Hong Eun-chae asked, “How much of Ji Yea-eun’s love confession to Yang Se-chan in a previous broadcast was sincere?” and Haha laughed, “Is there still someone curious about this love line?”
Upon arriving at the university, they performed the ‘Bouncing Relationship’ mission, with Yoo Jae-suk's team coming in first. Yoo Jae-suk teased, “Eun-chae, you did well~ Sakura, you don’t have much athletic ability, do you? You were almost walking,” while Ji Suk-jin added, “You can’t see how clumsy you are because you’re on the same team as me,” and Sakura humorously replied, “It’s because you can’t do it, so I have to.”
The production team announced, “Find an outlet that isn’t blocked for 5 minutes to charge, and the moment you get off, the countdown begins,” causing the members to rush as soon as they arrived.
The Haha team, which found an empty outlet first, charged their phones and read the hint mission that said, “When video calling with the hint number, look closely at the cabinet.”
A little later, Yoo Jae-suk also found an empty outlet, charged his phone, and checked the hint through a video call. Yoo Jae-suk, Ji Suk-jin, and Sakura confirmed the Running Man PDs who made numbers with their fingers, and Sakura accurately pointed out, “Isn’t it in the order of seniors and juniors?”
Finally, all members performed the ‘Avoid the Ball and Catch the Lids’ mission. While watching Sakura’s ball-evading skills, Haha exclaimed, “She’s getting hit a lot, isn’t she? She’s getting hit all over,” and when Sakura got hit on the head and fell, it caused everyone to burst into laughter.
Next, Hong Eun-chae took her turn, and true to her youth, she avoided almost all the balls and scored 5 points. Song Ji-hyo, who collected 18 lids, got hit by the ball 6 times and scored 12 points, surprising the members.
In the end, the Haha team came in first, the Jong-kook team came in second, and the three teams performed the leaving work mission. The members began to move in unison at the production team’s instruction, “You need to say ‘We will be leaving work’ with all team members’ faces visible on the phone. Just plug it in somehow.” Sakura from Yoo Jae-suk's team was the first to make a video call and leave.
Second, Ji Yea-eun overheard the Haha team’s password and secured second place, while the last-place Haha team took on the overtime task of untangling the tangled phone cords.
In the meantime, Hong Eun-chae expressed, “I don’t want to go home,” showing her ‘Running Man’ kid side.
