Actor Son Chang-min has perfectly transformed into Han Moo-cheol, a K-Scrooge who believes that money is everything.

The new KBS1 daily drama “Seize the Great Luck” (written by Son Ji-hye, directed by Park Man-young and Lee Hae-woo), which is set to premiere in April, depicts the tumultuous growth stories of three friends and their families, who are rich, poor, and aspiring to be wealthy.

In the drama, Son Chang-min plays Han Moo-cheol, a notorious landlord in the neighborhood and the husband of Mi-ja. Moo-cheol, who prioritizes money above all else, is a materialistic person who trembles at the thought of losing even a single won. Although he was inseparable friends with Kim Dae-sik (played by Sun Woo-jae-deok) and Choi Gyu-tae (played by Park Sang-myeon) during high school, they find themselves in a master-servant relationship due to money. One day, while desperately trying to acquire more wealth, an unexpected misfortune befalls Moo-cheol, putting him in a dire situation.

The production team of “Seize the Great Luck” has released stills that showcase Moo-cheol's character as a miserly landlord. Moo-cheol displays a condescending gaze as if looking down on others, and his harsh words reveal his “master of sarcasm” status without any filters.

Despite being wealthy enough to own multiple buildings, Moo-cheol is known for being ruthless when it comes to money, even going as far as choosing his wife Mi-ja's (played by Lee Ah-hyun) birthday gift from a used clothing collection box. As a result, not only his wife and children but even his high school friends turn their backs on him.

Unexpected events occur in Moo-cheol's life, which he has always believed revolves around money. A breath of spring wind finally reaches Moo-cheol, who has no one to rely on. The sight of Moo-cheol, a self-centered and arrogant character, clutching his heart in shock raises curiosity about the hidden story behind him. This incident leads Moo-cheol to cross an irreversible river, and attention is focused on how he will overcome this crisis and the transformation of Son Chang-min's performance in portraying the rollercoaster-like character of Han Moo-cheol.

“Seize the Great Luck” is set to premiere in April as a follow-up to “Let’s Get Married, Maenggong!”
