The main characters of “Catch the Big Luck” showcased perfect acting chemistry from their first meeting.

Set to premiere in April, KBS1's new daily drama “Catch the Big Luck” (written by Son Ji-hye, directed by Park Man-young and Lee Hae-woo) depicts the tumultuous growth stories of three friends with varying financial situations and their families.

“Catch the Big Luck” has garnered attention even before its broadcast with a star-studded lineup featuring Son Chang-min, Sunwoo Jae-duk, Park Sang-myeon, Lee Ah-hyun, Oh Young-sil, and Ahn Yeon-hong, all known for their deep acting skills.

The drama is drawing attention as a collaboration between director Park Man-young, recognized for his work in various genres such as “Three Siblings Brave,” “Manhole - The Strange Country of Phil,” “The Odd Daughter-in-law,” “Sweet Secret,” and “The Man from the Vineyard,” and writer Son Ji-hye, who has touched viewers with numerous family dramas like “The Odd Family” and “Love, Love.” “Catch the Big Luck,” which tells the growth stories of three friends entangled with money, promises to deliver a relatable tale that resonates with audiences of all ages, filled with emotion and laughter.

The script reading session for “Catch the Big Luck” was officially revealed. Present at the scene were directors Park Man-young and Lee Hae-woo, writer Son Ji-hye, and actors Son Chang-min (as Han Mu-cheol), Sunwoo Jae-duk (as Kim Dae-sik), Park Sang-myeon (as Choi Gyu-tae), Oh Young-sil (as Lee Hye-sook), Ahn Yeon-hong (as Hwang Geum-ok), Yeon Je-hyung (as Kim Seok-jin), Lee So-won (as Han Seo-woo), Kim Hyun-ji (as Kim Ah-jin), Park Ji-sang (as Han Tae-ha), Park Se-kyung (as Park Bok-ja), Lee Seung-hyung (as Choi Jin-tae), Kim Min-seok (as Heo Kwang-sik), Gong Ye-ji (as Kim Mi-jin), Seo Young (as Jang Mi), Joo Ji-ah (as Park Ye-won), Ahn Jun-seo (as Choi Min-yong), and Han Si-ah (as Heo Ji-woo), all of whom will lead the production.

In an energetic atmosphere, Son Chang-min, Sunwoo Jae-duk, and Park Sang-myeon portrayed the trio of Mu-cheol, Dae-sik, and Gyu-tae, who were once childhood friends but now find themselves in a complicated relationship, with their acting skills oscillating between cold and warm. The irreplaceable performances and perfect chemistry of the three brought laughter to the set. The actors' passionate performances quickly immersed everyone in the drama, creating a perfect harmony that made their first meeting seem insignificant.

Oh Young-sil, who plays Dae-sik's wife Hye-sook, vividly depicted the life of a K-mom sacrificing for her family with her realistic acting, while Ahn Yeon-hong, transformed into the owner of Café Dandelion, brightened the atmosphere with her lively performance. Lee Ah-hyun, who could not attend the script reading, remarked, “The atmosphere on set feels like we’ve been filming together for a month or two, showcasing great teamwork.”

The family members of Mu-cheol, Dae-sik, and Gyu-tae, including Yeon Je-hyung, Lee So-won, Kim Hyun-ji, Park Ji-sang, Park Se-kyung, Lee Seung-hyung, Kim Min-seok, Gong Ye-ji, Ahn Jun-seo, and Han Si-ah, along with Son Chang-min, Seo Young, and Joo Ji-ah, showcased their “character-perfect acting,” raising expectations for the upcoming broadcast.

After the script reading, Son Chang-min stated, “The fate of the three friends divided by money and the growth story of their families are key points to watch. The twists and turns in Mu-cheol's story are also intriguing,” adding, “As the actors are tightly united during filming, we ask for your great expectations.”

“Catch the Big Luck” is set to premiere in April as a follow-up to “Let’s Get Married, Maeng-gong!”
