In ‘Save Me! Holmes’, they explore a silver town in the city.
The MBC entertainment program ‘Save Me! Holmes’, airing at 10 PM on the 6th, will feature a special segment exploring a silver town in the city.
First, Kim Sook explains the purpose of this exploration, saying, “As we enter an ultra-aged society, interest in silver towns has increased. What was once seen as a consideration like the Goryeo burial is now becoming a dream for the elderly.” Park Na-rae also adds, “Recently, silver towns offer various services and community programs that enhance the quality of life in old age, going beyond just being a living space,” raising expectations.
This exploration features broadcaster Kim Dae-ho, comedian Lim Woo-il, and Jang Dong-min. The three will visit a silver town located in Pyeongchang-dong, Jongno-gu. Safety interiors for the elderly are installed everywhere, and in the spacious master bedroom, they are captivated by the magnificent rock view. Kim Dae-ho exclaims, “It’s a natural vivarium. I really like it.”
The three ascend to the rooftop garden where they can enjoy views of both Bukak Mountain and Bukhansan. They discover a reflexology walking path, and as Kim Dae-ho takes off his socks and walks on the reflexology board, Jang Dong-min and Lim Woo-il follow suit. Despite the biting cold of minus 2 degrees Celsius, they showcase their enthusiasm by walking on all fours and screaming, raising anticipation for the live broadcast.
Next, the three head to Jongam-dong, Seongbuk-gu. It is said that a total of 239 households reside in the silver town of Seongbuk-gu. Among the various communities in the silver town, the religious rooms stand out, with ‘Buddhism room, Catholic room, and Protestant room’ each available. Kim Dae-ho, who identifies as non-religious, attracts attention by entering each religious room to make wishes for ‘free success’.
Following that, they head to a silver town located in Jayang-dong, Gwangjin-gu, near the Konkuk University entrance. Situated among optimal infrastructures like a university hospital and department store, it is a 50-story building, with some floors actually being used as a hotel. During the introduction of various communities, they meet elderly members active in a dance sports club. Kim Dae-ho shares, “I made it to the TOP 5 in MBC’s Dancing with the Stars Season 3,” and then performs the rumba in front of the elderly, drawing attention. In response, Lim Woo-il showcases his catchphrase ‘Jjas~Jjas~’ along with cha-cha-cha moves, eliciting laughter.
The exploration of the silver town in the city will be revealed on MBC’s ‘Save Me! Holmes’ at 10 PM on the 6th.
