Aired in 2016, 'Signal' is a crime drama where detectives from the present and the past are connected through a desperate signal (walkie-talkie) from the past, re-investigating old unsolved cases. It received acclaim for its unique premise of solving long-term cold cases through a walkie-talkie that connects the past and present, the intense narrative of the past and present detectives' desperation to solve the cold cases, and memorable lines such as "The past can be changed. In this context, the tvN 'The Second Signal' (written by Kim Eun-hee, directed by Ahn Tae-jin), scheduled to air in the first half of next year, will reunite the trusted actors who led Season 1: Kim Hye-soo as detective Cha Soo-hyun of the cold case team, Jo Jin-woong as detective Lee Jae-han of the violent crimes unit, and Lee Je-hoon as profiler Park Hae-young of the cold case team.
