The members of ‘1 Night 2 Days’ wrapped up their heart-pounding trip to Uljin.
In the episode aired on the 23rd, KBS2’s variety show ‘1 Night 2 Days Season 4’ (hereafter ‘1 Night 2 Days’) depicted the second story of the six members who traveled to Uljin, Gyeongsangbuk-do. This broadcast recorded a viewership rating of 8.5% (Nielsen Korea nationwide), ranking first in its time slot. The scene where Kim Jong-min and Lee Joon, who were consecutively selected for overtime work after fishing, pulled flags inside a cave and cleared the mission soared to a peak rating of 11.7%.
Upon arriving at the base camp, the ‘1 Night 2 Days’ team entered different rooms one by one and conducted a dinner mission with a game called ‘Telepathy Human Zero’. During the mission, Kim Jong-min, Jo Se-ho, DinDin, and Yoo Seon-ho realized a foolproof method to win the game 100%, but Moon Se-yoon and Lee Joon failed to notice it, causing the members to miss a golden opportunity.
After finishing dinner, the six members enjoyed a sweet break during the unusually generous rest time, albeit with some anxiety. However, the peaceful atmosphere changed instantly with the arrival of a mysterious business card, and as an unidentified voice announced, “We will start the game,” the members hurriedly moved to the mission location.
The production team announced the start of the ‘Squid Fishing Luck Game’ to select two participants for squid fishing, and the members entered the first round game where they had to sit in empty chairs while wearing squid masks. After Moon Se-yoon, Kim Jong-min, Lee Joon, and Yoo Seon-ho were eliminated in turn, Jo Se-ho and DinDin became the last two, with DinDin securing a chair first and being exempted from fishing.
In the second round, the game ‘Mugunghwa Flower Has Bloomed, Freeze!’ was held, and DinDin participated as a substitute for Jo Se-ho, who suffered a minor muscle injury. After a nerve-wracking race, Yoo Seon-ho and DinDin reached the finish line first, earning the exemption from fishing. Jo Se-ho and DinDin, who confirmed their indoor sleeping arrangements together, encouraged each other, proving the strong bond of ‘Danshinz’ once again.
Kim Jong-min, Moon Se-yoon, and Lee Joon, who did not survive the previous rounds, sought a final chance for redemption through the last round game ‘Gunman Nom Nom Nom’. As a result, Moon Se-yoon, who assembled the water gun first and shot ink, became the final winner, while Kim Jong-min and Lee Joon, who lost in all rounds, were selected for squid fishing.
Kim Jong-min and Lee Joon boarded a boat departing at 1 AM, heading into the dark sea. Lee Joon, who experienced fishing for the first time since joining ‘1 Night 2 Days’, expressed his dizzying feelings, saying, “It feels like the world is moving,” but he and Kim Jong-min did their best and completed the squid fishing, which lasted about four hours.
The next morning, the six members had a hearty breakfast with the squid and cuttlefish caught during fishing and then participated in the leaving work mission ‘I Am Seafood’ game, which would conclude this trip. As the members raised their concentration to the maximum, a fierce competition continued, and coincidentally, Kim Jong-min and Lee Joon, who had just returned from fishing, were both selected for the leaving work punishment.
Kim Jong-min, who unintentionally monopolized the screen time, expressed his disappointment, saying, “We picked the wrong day today,” and Lee Joon could not hide his bitterness either. Arriving at the representative attraction of Uljin, ‘Seongryu Cave’, for the leaving work punishment, the two forgot their regrets of defeat and concluded this trip while enjoying the beautiful scenery.
