Broadcaster Yoo Jae-suk was nominated for the Grand Prize after winning the Entertainer of the Year Award.
On the 28th at 8:20 PM, the ‘MBC Entertainment Awards’ took place at the new MBC headquarters in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. The event was hosted by Jeon Hyun-moo, Yoon Eun-hye, and Lee Jang-woo.
Upon receiving the Entertainer of the Year Award, Yoo Jae-suk expressed, “I sincerely thank you. I appreciate the hard work of the production team and all the members of ‘How Do You Play?’, and I am grateful to many people who have always been a great support during tough times.” He continued, “It has been about 5 years since ‘How Do You Play?’ started. Throughout this time, we have tried to bring great laughter to our viewers on weekend evenings. I believe that in 2024, we will continue to work hard week by week with the members and gain recognition from our viewers. I will strive to bring big laughs. Although it is the start of the Lunar New Year holiday, my colleagues and junior and senior production staff are here with us,” and added, “I hope everyone stays healthy and has a blessed New Year. I want to say thank you to all the fellow production staff in Korean entertainment who work hard to bring laughter throughout the year. I hope this year is filled with laughter. Happy New Year to everyone.”
The ‘MBC Entertainment Awards’ is an event that summarizes the entertainment, cultural, and radio programs broadcast throughout the year. Last year, MBC aired many existing popular programs such as ‘All-Seeing Assistant’, ‘How Do You Play?’, ‘I Live Alone’, ‘Radio Star’, ‘Home Alone’, and ‘Thank Goodness for Resting’, as well as several new programs including ‘Class That Crosses the Line’, ‘Song Stealer’, ‘Frugal Man’, ‘Speakers’, and ‘Born to be Music’. Pilot programs such as ‘The Leader’s Side Dishes’, ‘Weekly Taste Research Institute: What to Eat Lab’, ‘Hot Topic’, and ‘Reaching You’ were also aired.
