The PD of ‘Eagle Brothers’ responded to questions regarding the love line between Choi Dae-cheol and Park Hyo-joo.
On the afternoon of the 22nd at 2:30 PM, the production presentation for KBS2's new weekend drama ‘Please Take Care of the Eagle Brothers!’ was held at Ramada Seoul in Sindorim-dong, Guro-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by director Choi Sang-yeol, as well as actors Um Ji-won, Ahn Jae-wook, Choi Dae-cheol, Kim Dong-wan, Yoon Park, Lee Seok-ki, Park Hyo-joo, and Yoo In-young.
In the drama, Choi Dae-cheol plays Oh Cheon-soo, the second brother and a “goose dad,” who forms a love line with his ex-wife, played by Park Hyo-joo. This has raised concerns among some that it may involve an affair.
In response to this question, director Choi Sang-yeol stated, “Since weekend dramas have a long format, the content can change based on viewer reactions. So, I can’t predict how it will turn out. However, I am about 90% sure that it will not involve an affair.”
He added, “There will be a scene where divorce papers are received, and it will progress in a direction where people who have already been abandoned by their partners meet new people and start to fall in love.”
In relation to this, Choi Dae-cheol also mentioned, “I’m quite confused because I have never seen my wife. I saw my classmate, Moon Mi-soon, before I saw my wife’s face,” and added, “The biggest theme of KBS weekend dramas is family and warmth, so I believe there won’t be such (affair) stories.”
Meanwhile, ‘Please Take Care of the Eagle Brothers!’ is a drama that depicts the well-ripened family story created by the five uniquely talented brothers of the long-established brewery, Eagle Brothers, and the eldest brother’s wife, who suddenly becomes the head of the family after her husband’s unexpected death just ten days after their marriage. It will premiere on February 1 at 8 PM.
