Actress Yoon Yoo-sun became the recipient of the Supporting Actor award at the ‘2024 KBS Acting Awards’.
After winning the Supporting Actor award on the ‘2024 KBS Acting Awards’ broadcast on the 11th, Yoon Yoo-sun said, “I feel like I stood on this stage 30 years ago. I played the role of Baek Seong-hyun's mother, and it’s nice to meet you today.”
Celebrating her 50th anniversary since her debut, Yoon Yoo-sun stated, “I debuted in 1974. I have lived every moment acting as I remember it. There have been good times and bad times. There are moments of satisfaction and moments of dissatisfaction. I believe this award is for the time I worked diligently during those moments.”
She added, “My heart is heavy due to sad news. Thinking of those who cannot enjoy this moment makes me feel that I should not waste a single moment.”
Yoon Yoo-sun also expressed, “I worked joyfully. I am happy to have been with my reliable son Ji Hyun-woo, my beloved sister Ye-jin, and my dependable brother Du-il as a family,” and conveyed her gratitude to the ‘Beauty and the Beast’ team.
She further remarked, “These days, everyone wants to be number one and the lead. I feel it is meaningful to be praised for helping the main character do well.”
The ‘2024 KBS Acting Awards’, hosted by broadcaster Jang Seong-kyu and actors Seo Hyun and Moon Sang-min, was originally scheduled to be broadcast live on December 31 of last year but was canceled due to the aftermath of the Jeju Air passenger plane disaster. The awards ceremony was conducted as a recorded event.
Nominees for the Grand Prize included Lee Soon-jae from the drama ‘Dog Barking’, Ji Hyun-woo and Lim Soo-hyang from ‘Beauty and the Beast’, Kim Jung-hyun and Park Ji-young from ‘Iron Family’, and Kim Ha-neul from ‘Let’s Grab the Collar Once’.
