Jung Ji-so returned to Eunice Entertainment after resolving misunderstandings with Jin-young, but she faced a crisis of being deemed unqualified during the debut team evaluation.
In the 6th episode of KBS2's Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Suspicious Girl’ (directed by Park Yong-soon, written by Heo Seung-min), a mysterious man (played by Yoo Jung-hoo) appeared before Oh Doo-ri (played by Jung Ji-so), bringing a new turn of events. The episode recorded a viewership rating of 4% (Nielsen Korea nationwide), tying its own highest rating. It ranked first among all programs aired at the same time, providing both fun and emotion to the home audience.
In this episode, Doo-ri confronted Daniel Han (played by Jin-young), who had notified her of her dismissal, asking, “Are you just going to end it like this? Is the contract a joke?” Hurt by Daniel's lack of trust in her, Doo-ri left the practice room. However, she soon worried that her actions might also affect her granddaughter Choi Ha-na (played by Chae Won-bin).
Later, Doo-ri accidentally visited a senior singing contest with Ha-na. Seeing the audience amazed by Shin Soon-ae's (played by Shin Shin-ae) singing, Doo-ri asked, “Is that the best you can do, seniors?” and took to the stage. Ha-na followed her, and the two sang “The Yellow Shirt Man” under the team name ‘Suspicious Sisters’. Ha-na playing the guitar next to Doo-ri while singing brought joy to the viewers.
Daniel learned that Gap-yong was like a grandfather figure to Doo-ri. Realizing he had misunderstood Doo-ri, Daniel immediately went to find her. While walking with Doo-ri, Daniel discovered Park's guest house and decided to stay there. He later sincerely apologized to Doo-ri, saying, “I’m sorry for yesterday. I thought about it several times, and I was reckless.”
After receiving Daniel's apology and returning to Eunice Entertainment, Doo-ri participated in the debut team evaluation. During the evaluation, Kim Ae-sim (played by Cha Hwa-yeon) appeared, and Doo-ri made several mistakes, causing disappointment. The Eunice Entertainment staff discussed what to do about the underperforming Doo-ri and Ha-na. However, at that moment, they discovered a duet performance video of Doo-ri and Ha-na from the senior singing contest. This raised curiosity about whether the two, who had become a hot topic on social media, would be given another chance.
Meanwhile, Gap-yong, who visited Eunice Entertainment to meet Doo-ri, encountered Janet (played by Kim Hae-sook), who looked just like Mal-soon. Gap-yong asked Janet about her identity, and she cryptically replied, “You’ve known each other for over 50 years, and you really don’t know who I am?” before disappearing. When Doo-ri found Gap-yong, she expressed her discomfort about his visit. Gap-yong felt sorry for the uneasy Doo-ri but, feeling sad, rode his motorcycle late at night. However, while driving, Gap-yong felt dizzy, adding to the tension.
At the end of the broadcast, Doo-ri, who went to the broadcasting station to see Tae Jin-ah, was in danger of being swept away by the crowd. At that moment, a warm-hearted man appeared and caught Doo-ri just before she fell, creating a thrilling moment. Staring intently at the man's face, Doo-ri asked, “Could it be Park?” and the man smiled brightly at her, making the viewers' hearts race. The identity of the young man remains a mystery, and a new romantic atmosphere around Doo-ri raises anticipation for the next episode.
‘Suspicious Girl’ Episode 7 will air on the 8th at 9:50 PM.
