Travel creator ‘KwakTube’ Kwak Jun-bin has decided to halt the upload of travel videos following the Jeju Air passenger plane tragedy.
On the 30th, Kwak Jun-bin wrote on his YouTube channel, “Hello, this is Kwak Jun-bin. It seems like a day when even saying hello is difficult. I feel deep sadness and regret over this unbelievable situation.”
He continued, “No words can suffice, but I extend my deepest condolences to the bereaved families,” and added, “I will take a break from uploading the scheduled travel videos. I pray for the souls of the deceased.” He paid tribute to the victims of the Jeju Air passenger plane tragedy.
On the morning of the 29th, at 9:05 AM, an accident occurred at Muan International Airport when Jeju Air flight 7C2216, coming from Bangkok, attempted to land without its landing gear deployed, colliding with airport facilities and engulfing most of the aircraft in flames.
As a result of this accident, 179 of the 181 passengers, excluding 2 surviving crew members, lost their lives. The government has designated a week of national mourning until January 4th next year in relation to the Jeju Air passenger plane tragedy.
