The 24th season of ‘I Am Solo’ has opened the era of ‘Nerdy Men’ wide.
On the broadcast of ENA and SBS Plus's real dating program ‘I Am Solo’ on the 25th, the identities of the solo men and women who entered ‘Solo Nara 24’ and the first impression selection scene were revealed.
This ‘Solo Nara 24’ was held in Jeonbuk Jin-an, where the mystical love energy of Maisan is located, as a ‘Nerdy Men Special’. The first to enter was Young-soo, a veterinarian with a ‘white bear’ appearance and an annual salary of 200 million won. Young-soo expressed his ideal type, saying, “I might still be looking for romance, but I want to have an exciting relationship,” adding, “I like cat-like features.”
Young-ho, who appeared with a cute image and tinted glasses, candidly said, “I know I’m not in good external condition, but I chased after pretty people because they were attractive.” He continued, “I’m a pushover in love. I’ve given my girlfriend all kinds of gifts, from flowers to luxury bags,” showcasing his ‘hopeless romantic’ side.
Next, Young-sik confessed, “I’ve been in three relationships,” and “It’s been two years since I dated, so my romantic feelings are dry.” Shortly after, a scene was revealed where Young-sik was in tears after meeting ‘true love’ during his entry into ‘Solo Nara 24’, raising curiosity about the fiery romance he will show in the future.

Kwang-soo, who found his way to ‘Solo Nara 24’ a year after applying, shared his changed circumstances, saying, “After passing the administrative exam as the top student, I transformed into a 5th-grade civil servant.” Kwang-soo, who has followed an elite path from science high school to Y University to being the top student in the civil service exam, calmly stated, “I had a conflict while changing jobs, which led to a broken engagement,” adding, “It hurt at the time, but looking back, it’s a part of my life.”
Finally, Sang-cheol revealed, “If you watch ‘Extreme Jobs’, you’ll see what I do,” indicating that he travels around the country for work. He continued, “While attending university in Busan, my girlfriend said she would retake the college entrance exam, so I prepared with her. I even found a study room near her house to study together, but I was the only one who did well on the exam,” sharing the story of how he followed his ‘ex-girlfriend’ to retake the exam. With 12 solo men and women gathered, the ‘first impression selection’ took place. The solo men had to take a ‘two-shot’ photo against the backdrop of Maisan, where they had to pose affectionately with their first choice while performing a ‘reverse mission’ by asking their second choice for a photo.
Young-soo chose Ok-soon as his first choice and Jeong-sook as his second. Following him, Young-ho chose Jeong-sook as his first choice and Soon-ja as his second, while Young-sik picked Soon-ja as his first choice and Hyun-sook as his second. Young-cheol chose Jeong-sook as his first choice and Ok-soon as his second, while Kwang-soo picked Soon-ja as his first choice and Ok-soon as his second. Sang-cheol selected Soon-ja as his first choice and Jeong-sook as his second. As a result, in the solo men’s first impression selection, Soon-ja received 3 votes, Jeong-sook 2 votes, and Ok-soon 1 vote, while Young-sook, Yeong-ja, and Hyun-sook all received 0 votes.
The solo women’s first impression selection followed immediately. The solo women revealed their first choice by getting into the solo men’s cars, which they had previously taken photos of and stored on their phones, and moving to the accommodation. Here, Young-soo, Young-ho, and Young-sik were left alone in their cars, having received no selections.
On the other hand, Young-cheol smiled with joy as he received selections from Soon-ja and Young-sook, while Kwang-soo received selections from Ok-soon and Jeong-sook.
