Actors Kim Nam-gil and Lee Ha-nee won the Best Acting Award in the seasonal drama category at the ‘2024 SBS Drama Awards’.
The ‘2024 SBS Drama Awards’ took place on the 21st at 8:35 PM at the SBS Prism Tower in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, hosted by Shin Dong-yeop, Kim Hye-yoon, and Kim Ji-yeon.
On this day, Kim Nam-gil said, “I was going to leave after clapping, but unexpectedly received an award. Honestly, there was an award I really wanted. Rather than the grand prize, I wanted the Best Couple Award with Kim Sung-kyun. I have him saved as ‘Wife’ on my phone. I thought SBS would recognize it, so I was disappointed not to receive the Best Couple Award,” which brought laughter.
He continued, “I was really pressed for time while filming ‘The Fiery Priest 2’, but I was happy to act with great actors. I think this is a time when ordinary daily life is cherished. I hope to find happiness in ordinary life next year. I wish for God’s blessings to be with all of you,” he said.
Next on stage, Lee Ha-nee said, “‘The Fiery Priest 2’ is a work that our viewers have led us to. It’s not easy to do a seasonal series. It’s a work we’ve waited for five years. I am grateful to the director, writer, and staff who made it possible for us to work in such an environment. I wonder if ‘The Fiery Priest’ would have existed without these wonderful actors. Let’s be together for life,” she said.
Meanwhile, the ‘2024 SBS Drama Awards’ is a ceremony that summarizes all SBS dramas aired this year, including ‘Reborn Rich’, ‘The Resurrection of Seven’, ‘Connection’, ‘Good Partner’, ‘Judge from Hell’, and ‘The Fiery Priest 2’. The grand prize nominees included Ahn Bo-hyun, Hwang Jung-eum, Ji Sung, Jang Na-ra, Park Shin-hye, and Kim Nam-gil.
