In tvN’s ‘Handsome Guys on Sunday’, Oh Sang-wook faces unexpected challenges on the road during the race, while BTS Jin also encounters difficulties from the very first race, providing unpredictable entertainment.
tvN’s ‘Handsome Guys on Sunday’ (directed by Ryu Ho-jin and Yoon In-hwa) is a Sunday variety show that seeks out Korea's representative cultural heritage and materials. In the first episode, Cha Tae-hyun, Kim Dong-hyun, and Shin Seung-ho form the ‘Guys Team’, while Lee Yi-kyung and Oh Sang-wook join BTS Jin as guests to compete in a bingo match to find national heritage in the Gyeongsangnam-do region.
During the race, an incident occurs when Oh Sang-wook suddenly requests a filming pause in the middle of the road. Unlike Lee Yi-kyung and Jin, who are chatting away in the car, Oh Sang-wook, who has been unusually quiet, urgently signals, “Can we stop for a moment? There won’t be a gas station ahead, right?” causing everyone to panic. However, he soon exclaims, “I actually like overcoming challenges,” and “It’s because of challenges that we know what’s precious,” humorously revealing his unique ‘praise of adversity’ as if to brainwash himself. Jin responds, “It’s clear that gold medalists are different,” showing respect for the mental strength of the ‘world ranking number one’ that dominates the body. The ‘Handsome Team’ uniting in Oh Sang-wook’s emergency situation is expected to bring great laughter.
Meanwhile, the ‘Handsome Team’ faces trials and tribulations even in front of quizzes. Oh Sang-wook says, “I’ve used up all my luck in Paris,” struggling more with the quiz than with fencing, while Jin repeatedly says, “Let’s think about it one more time,” raising the tension significantly. Will the Handsome Team be able to overcome the adversities they face from the battle on the road to the challenging quiz? Curiosity about the first broadcast of ‘Handsome Guys on Sunday’ is rising.
tvN’s new Sunday variety show ‘Handsome Guys on Sunday’ will premiere on December 1st, Sunday at 7:40 PM.
