Jae-hyun (real name Shim Jae-hyun), a former member of the group Fable, has passed away after battling leukemia.
According to the music industry on the 2nd, Jae-hyun passed away on the 29th of last month after continuing his fight against leukemia. He was 23 years old.
Ho-jun, a member of Fable, also shared the news of Jae-hyun's passing on his social media. He posted a photo taken with Jae-hyun and wrote, "I'm sorry I couldn't join you on your last journey. If I had done better, would the situation have been different? I am truly heartbroken."
He continued, "I hope you leave all your worries behind. I am grateful for the past five years we spent together. I hope you eat a lot of delicious food and live well in the future. Please come to my dreams often."
Following the news, fans have been mourning Jae-hyun on his social media, expressing their condolences.
Born in 2002, Jae-hyun debuted as the youngest member of Fable in June 2020. The group consisted of five members: Jae-hyun, Ho-jun, Jung, Jun-hyung, and Si-hoon.
They released their debut album and first single "Burn it up," as well as the second single "Run Run Run" in 2021, and "Cloud 9" in 2022.
In 2023, they continued their activities with concerts and fan meetings in places like Osaka, Japan.
However, their activities became sparse, and among them, members Jun-hyung, Si-hoon, and Jung re-debuted in a new group called ENERFIVE, effectively disbanding the team.
