BTS member J-Hope is set to release a new song.
J-Hope will unveil his digital single ‘Killin’ It Girl’ on the 13th at 1 PM (Korean time). This marks his third new song following ‘Sweet Dreams’ and ‘Mona Lisa’ released in March, continuing his active schedule in the first half of the year.
Through his agency Big Hit Music, J-Hope expressed his excitement about the release, stating, “I’m thrilled that the final song of my solo single project is finally coming out. I hope the ARMY (fan club name) enjoys it as I have prepared very powerful music and a stage.”
J-Hope described the song as “a track with a definite listening appeal.” He added, “The verses start with a very hip mood, but as it transitions to the chorus, it adds a pop sensibility, creating a song with a surprising charm. The catchy chorus will leave a deep impression on many.”
Following his previous digital single ‘Mona Lisa’, J-Hope once again participated in the song's production, proving his capabilities as an artist. He shared an interesting story from the production, saying, “I accidentally heard the sound of glasses clinking during the work, and the producer didn’t miss that sound and recorded it to use in the track. That was very impressive.” He continued, “After confirming the key I could handle, I laid a guitar loop over a hip beat, and as soon as I heard it, I was convinced, ‘This is a J-Hope song!’”
In conclusion, he expressed his gratitude to fans, saying, “I could continue this solo single project thanks to the ARMY who have always believed in and supported me. I sincerely thank you.”
‘Killin’ It Girl’ is a hip-hop genre song with a catchy hook, featuring lyrics that honestly express the overwhelming excitement of falling for someone at first sight. This track not only concludes J-Hope’s solo single project but also showcases the peak of his expanded musical spectrum.
The performance will highlight bold and sensual dance lines and a sexy atmosphere that have not been seen before. The combination of challenging moves and fluid yet intense movements is expected to enhance the immersion of the stage.
Meanwhile, J-Hope will premiere his new song ‘Killin’ It Girl’ at the encore concert of his world tour, held on the 13th and 14th at the Goyang Sports Complex in Goyang City, Gyeonggi Province.
