Jimin and Jungkook of the group BTS expressed their thoughts on their discharge and expressed concern for the safety of fans waiting in front of the HYBE building.
On the 11th, Jimin and Jungkook, who were discharged from the military, communicated with fans through a live broadcast on the fan communication platform 'Weverse'.
Before sharing their thoughts on their discharge, Jimin addressed the fans who had come to support them near the office, saying, "It's quite hot outside, and the alley is narrow. There are concerns about safety accidents," and added, "I think it would be better for everyone if you go home first instead of waiting for us."
He continued, "Thank you so much for waiting, but for safety reasons, it would be better for you to go home first. Safety is the most important thing," he reiterated.
The two were discharged together from the 5th Artillery Brigade in Yeoncheon-gun, Gyeonggi Province, earlier that morning. After sharing their discharge thoughts with the press at a public sports field near the base, they moved to the HYBE building to greet the company officials.
Jimin and Jungkook enlisted together in December 2023 as active-duty soldiers in the Army and served as a gunner and a cook, respectively, in the 5th Division Artillery Brigade.
BTS has taken a step closer to a full group comeback, with all members now having completed their military service, following Jin and J-Hope's earlier discharge last year, and RM and V's discharge the day before. Suga, who is serving as a social service agent, will be discharged on the 21st.
To celebrate the members' discharge, HYBE has wrapped the exterior of the building with the phrase 'WE ARE BACK', signaling a full group comeback. This phrase will be displayed until the 29th. On this day, about 1,500 fans gathered in front of the HYBE building to welcome Jimin and Jungkook's discharge.
